Sen. John McCain called on the Senate to reject Gina Haspel's nomination to be the director of the CIA, citing her refusal in testimony on Wednesday to acknowledge "torture's immorality."
"I believe Gina Haspel is a patriot who loves our country and has devoted her professional life to its service and defense," the Arizona Republican said in a statement Wednesday evening.
"However, Ms. Haspel's role in overseeing the use of torture by Americans is disturbing. Her refusal to acknowledge torture's immorality is disqualifying. I believe the Senate should exercise its duty of advice and consent and reject this nomination," his statement continued.

It is also difficult to speculate as to how many of these comments are issued by his progressive staff advisors and not McCain. He could be in a weeks long coma and they continue to use McCain’s “voice” to further the anti-Trump left wing agenda to the end.

I had a dear friend die from a GBM. So I can’t believe I’m saying this, but the cancer should just take him now. He had a very long run, but it’s clearly affecting his squash, and since he can’t be removed for this, it needs to just finish its mission as a disease. Lights out.
But only after June 1st, so the AZ governor can appoint an actual conservative. His giving the governor a list of folks he wants to see as his replacement is what did it for me.
On his way out he’s trying to rack up as many points with satanic forces as possible. Maybe he thinks this will get him an appointment to Satan’s Military Academy.
