No, I’ve never heard of samizdat.

And hasn’t truth (journalistic honesty and integrity) already disappeared from the public square?

We have to be licensed to enjoy our 2A right, but not our 1st?

“No, I’ve never heard of samizdat.”

Secret literature, passed from hand to hand in the old USSR. “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” was originally samizdat.

“And hasn’t truth (journalistic honesty and integrity) already disappeared from the public square?”

For years it was severely restricted, but the Internet has allowed more truth to circulate. Sometimes I think there are similarities between conservatives on the Internet and samizdat.

“We have to be licensed to enjoy our 2A right, but not our 1st?”

That’s the whole thing about the 1st—the government is not allowed to say who can speak and who can’t. The left takes malicious, cynical advantage of that, but I don’t see a way around it.

Besides, two wrongs don’t...well, you know.
