Ah, Georgia. I expect Casey Cagle will get the nomination running away.

We have a creepy leftist RINO weasel running for Governor here in TN, his ads exclaim how “Conservative !” he is when he is the biggest open-borders La Raza supporter (and has given big $$ to them). We call him La Raza Randy Boyd.

Sorry if this question has already been asked: Can DemocRATs vote in the West Virginia GOP primary?

If so, Blankenship will probably win.

Same down here. EVERYONE is claiming to be “Conservative”.

Cagel will probably win because when it comes down to it GA is pretty GOP-E but at least he is having to work hard for it

My point being if Moore was beaten only on allegations alone,
I can only imagine what Manchin would do to a convicted criminal.
Thinking about the general election ads are giving me a headache.

I think Judge Moore is a decent honorable man.
He just did not know how to fight back.

Don Blankenship was found guilty and went to prison. How do you think it will sell in a coal mining state that this guy was responsible for 29 deaths ? He’s a troll candidate. If he were wrongly persecuted and the real deal, President Trump would’ve endorsed him. This guy is a ringer candidate for Manchin.

Cordray

He gets the ringing endorsement from LIE-a-watha... aka Elizabeth Warren. Tells you all you need to know about him.

Other Sens (Jumping Jim Jeffords, etc.) have switched parties between elections in the past. But hopefully Morrisey will beat Blankenship tonight, and that will be moot.

Blankenship sounds like Trump to me

What President Trump needs is someone who will vote "yes" on his judicial picks and "yes" on his agenda items. He will get this from practically every GOP candidate and none of the Democrat candidates.

What the President needs is someone who can win, not the craziest SOB in the room who gets his ass handed to him in the election.

Nope, which is why Trump campaigned against him.

So to start with, the Turtle arranged for the recent Dem to register as a Rep. and split the Rep. vote, along come Blankenship creating an option for "conservative" voters as someone other then a RINO.

Trump appears to be making peace with the Turtle in the Turtle's back yard. This Trump strategy looks to me to be like his old Mueller strategy until now. He finally comes out swinging against Mueller by hiring Giuliani - Lesson Learned ?? maybe. Does Trump need to learn the same lesson in Politics, after all he is a businessman and not a politician?

It is my understanding that an Independent can request a ballot for either party and vote but otherwise a Dem gets a Dem ballot and a Pubbie gets a Pubbie ballot.

The interesting item is that while Manchin has a leftist opponent, the Dem primary has about a thrid more voters than the contested Republican primary.

Totally agree with you. President Trump agrees with you as well. He told West Virginians NOT to vote for Blankenship.

Jeffords switched right after he was reelected in 2000. Manchin could switch parties, yes, but he would still be the Democrat nominee (and more than likely, the WV Democrats would strip him of the nomination because he is no longer a member in good standing), but he would not be the GOP nominee. That would still be (likely) Morrisey. Morrisey would then face whomever the Dem replacement is.

The Conservative candidate has always been Morrisey. No serious individual has endorsed the troll that went to prison.
