It might have been their money, but they certainly didn't do anything to deserve getting it back. We didn't pay it back to them when they released the hostages they took from the U.S. Embassy, so I don't understand why Obama paid them for releasing a few US citizens. And the amount Obama gave them included interest as the original amount they paid for military equipment wasn't as much as what Obama gave them. Must be nice to be a terrorist nation, and be paid interest for your terrorist ways.

It’s partially true. Iran had billions frozen in banks around the world since their 1979 islamic “revolution”. Somewhere between $100 and $200 billion. In addition, Hussein Obama arranged somewhere around $1.5 billion in hard currency flown into Tehran as part of his (now dead) Iran deal.
