If students like Cruz had to deal with the police, that would be mean and racist /s. Besides, it would make the school system look dangerous. And if he had actually attended the PROMISE Program. everybody would have lived happily ever after.

Wonder when the info of how he was badgered by other students at Parkland gets out. My sense is that he had a grudge against female costudents. I think the numbers of casualties hint at that. IMO, these were not random shootings.

... but until Sunday, school officials were still denying that Cruz ever had any connection to that program.
In a sane world, these "school officials" wold already be fired.

17 lives sacrificed so liberals could feel good about themselves.

The lawsuits should be flying over this insanity. Sue them all. The district, Sheriff, etc.

Didn’t know they denied this. Read an article at the time, that he had around 13 charges, 3 of which would have been reported to NICS, were it not for PROMISE, and his gun purchases wouldn’t have happened. Not saying he wouldn’t have been able to get a gun, just not legally.

So they’re reviewing all cases now? Looking for the next problem case. Right?

Broward superintendent Runcie repeatedly claimed Nikolas Cruz had "no connection" to the alternative punishment designed to limit on-campus arrests.

Runcie----from Chicago--- named 2015 Broward Supt of The Year.

Broward County, Fla., school officials portray as a great success their Obama administration-inspired program offering counseling to students who break the law, instead of having them arrested or expelled. They insist that it played no role in February’s school massacre by Nikolas Cruz. They also claim that in fact juvenile recidivism rates are down and school safety is up, thanks to the program.

The evidence tells a far different story.

Broward County juvenile justice division records, federal studies of Broward school district safety and the district's own internal reporting show that years of “intensive" counseling didn’t just fail to reform repeat offender Cruz, who allegedly went on to shoot and kill 17 people at his high school. Records show such policies have failed to curtail other campus violence and its effects now on the rise in district schools — including fighting, weapons use, bullying and related suicides.

Meanwhile, murders, armed robberies and other violent felonies committed by children outside of schools have hit record levels, and some see a connection with what’s happening on school grounds. Since the relaxing of discipline, Broward youths have not only brazenly punched out their teachers, but terrorized Broward neighborhoods with drive-by shootings, gang rapes, home invasions and carjackings.

Broward County now has the highest percentage of “the most serious, violent [and] chronic” juvenile offenders in Florida, according to the county’s chief juvenile probation officer. (Excerpt) Read more at realclearinvestigations.com ...

Amazing what comes out in the wash. They shouldn’t have lied in the first place.

This is what was going on at M.S Douglas and why I’ve been raising hell. Because all kinds of stuff like this was going on and should have been brought out. I’m adding this to my list

CONSERVATIVE TALKIES RESPONDING TO THE MEDIA’S WAR ON THE NRA, GUNS, AND THE 2ND AMENDMENT ONLY AIDS THEM IN CONCEALING THE POLICY FAILURES AS A NATIONAL ISSUE WHICH PERMITTED PARKLAND TO OCCUR
WAS PARKLAND AN IDYLLIC SCHOLASTIC SETTING OR A NIGHTMARE
Only an investigation will either dispel or prove that with those policies enforced. Students had all kinds of disciplinary problems (drugs, thefts fights etc) when attending classses there. Were scholastic standards lowered to fit fed DOJ grants ?
WHERE WAS THE DEMAND FOR FEDERAL AND STATE INVESTIGATIONS ????
It’ was not guns or the NRA It’s policies which had cops standing outside while killing was going on or some nut getting a gun the FBI knew he wasn’t suppose to... Plus a whole raft of other stuff
WAS THE DEMAND FOR STATE AND FED INVESTIGATION ON THE POLICIES WHICH CAUSED THIS NOT CONSIDERED BY FLORIDA POLS BECAUSE THE RESULT WOULD BE LAW SUITS AGAINST THE STATE ???

Once again Freepers rushing to judgement with not a regard for feelings. I mean, like, it’s not like he killed anybody ... shredded to sunders life forever with unimaginable agony for the loved ones remaining for perhaps generations. For no damn reason whatsoever.

If the parents don’t own Broward County, when all is said and done, then justice hasn’t been served.
