Lot of slam dunk U.S. Senate seats thrown away by GOP primary electorates. Let’s not add another to the list.

I think you need to talk to the RINO universe and have them not go to war against candidates they dont want to see in Washington.
I think a lot of us are on the same page with this observation. Reform candidates are attacked by the entire Washington DC money spending system.
That's not really accurate as significant amounts of resources - both time and money - were spent supporting some of those candidates (such as Angle and Mourdock) who then shot themselves in the foot and sabotaged themselves in races where they were on track to win. O'Donnell didn't need their support as she raised well into the 8 figures but destroyed herself straight out of the gate with that embarrassing "I'm not a witch!" ad - her chances were slim in a state like DE, but she essentially ended that general election right from the start. The establishment is what it is, but they don't hypnotize these people to sabotage their own campaigns with stupid campaign decisions and irrevocable verbal gaffes. The establishment, however, certainly doesn't nominate perfect candidates either who also shoot themselves in the foot or they nominate boring milquetoast token candidates that inspire nothing in races that might otherwise be winnable (witness what is happening in Michigan this election cycle - for some reason it appears the establishment is not backing John James and are "giving up" on that race before it even starts...and John James is definitely a viable candidate if he were to be well funded - and he'd be a young fresh face for the future viability of the party - it is flat out stupid they would not make that race a priority as it would pay dividends beyond just picking up a seat). Stupidity in candidate choices and campaign tactics doesn't have a monopoly in any circle.
