I agree, narrowly R. I don’t see that big a pickup in the Senate; it would also depend on what variety of Republicans win.
National committees do not financially support candidates much. That the job of each party’s House or Senate campaign committees. The Dems are outraising the GOP Senate candidates, but they’re still behind because they start with fewer seats, are defending more seats, and challengers usually need more money to flip a seat.
It’s a concern, as always, and shouldn’t be dismissed. But you are correct if you mean a Dem Senate is still unlikely.
If the majority of voters vote to flip the Senate, or worse, both houses of Congress, the majority will deserve their fate. And it won’t be pretty.

Florida: Nelson OUT; GOP pickup
Indiana: Donnelly OUT; GOP pickup
Missouri: McCaskill OUT; GOP pickup
Nevada: Heller out; dem pickup (too many migrant Califronicators and illegals in Lost Wages)
North Dakota: Heitkamp OUT; GOP pickup
West Va: Manchin OUT; GOP pickup
Tennessee: Stays GOP
The likely to be GOP if Trump holds strong and campaigns and rallies hard:
Montana: Tester OUT; GOP pickup
Ohio: Brown OUT; GOP Pickup
Michigan: Stabinow OUT; GOP pickup
The Fake News Media likes to pursue the Surrender Dorothy approach to the fight.
Pickup for who? The incumbent in Nevada, Heller, is a Republican.
I think you’re being a bit optimistic on about five of those.

The American people who value their freedom and want to support President Trump have to start calling, writing, and going to DC if need be to make sure this isn’t put off. Each of us has got to do our part to ensure that the RATs and RINOs DO NOT get elected in November! Take to social media, volunteer to work on campaigns, expose voter fraud.

McConnell wants to lose seats so it doesn't blow back on his Chinese handlers.
If McConnell remains the Majority Leader, he is exposed by having to show some support for the Trump/Republican agenda or be labeled as a stooge for the Democrats.
If he is the Minority Leader, he can leave it to the Democrats to oppose Trump and support Chinese interests while he remains in the shadows to protect the Chao family fortune.

GOP candidates in other states have not raised nearly enough YET. But, fact Dems have more cash doesn’t mean victory.
If RNC has so much raised, primary winners will be waiting their funds.

The world of politics is so FUBAR that truly anything could happen.
With that written, it is the Dems who have completely jumped the shark. They have whipped up an incoherent mania that will be difficult to sustain into the fall at these same levels, even if various events break in their favor.
Trump and the Republicans need to stay level headed and resolute for now. Trump needs to sustain the level of push back that has been his MO for awhile now, work to close as many deals as time permits (NKor, NAFTA, various nominations through the Senate, etc), and see where things stand on Labor Day. Our Republican legislators need to ... well ... stick with Trump and show some basic testosterone —> approve more appointments, approve a replacement for SC Justice Kennedy when he retires this summer, and so forth. Here too, stay on task and resolute and take stock on Labor Day. I strongly suspect that the momentum will have shifted by that point and that both House and Senate majorities will appear safe going into the fall.

Pretty much everything coming out of NPR and PBS is suspect. If it helps, we use it because there is nothing sweeter than using their own reporting against their causes.
If it doesn’t help, disregard it as unreliable, get your info from other sources.
It has been a burr under my saddle that I have had to put up with knowing my taxes are supporting those pieces of crap.

There is no chance the GOP loses the Senate, in fact I would fully expect them to gain significantly in the Senate... and I am saying that as a person who fully expects, at this point for the GOP to lose the house.
