My mom really loved Rock Hudson. I'm usually good at spotting gay actors, but IMO Rock never projected gayness at all. I still enjoy watching him in his better movies. My wife says she always got a bit of a gay vibe from him, but I don't see it. Richard Chamberlain is a favorite of mine and my wife. There were always rumors about him, but he was great in his roles.
I still don't see what women saw in Liberace.

Aside from the absurdity of two MEN being monagamous and faithful, there is an upside to this bust-up: At least they didn’t go on to adopt a brood of black children, mistreat them, deprive them of proper nutrition and then drive them off a cliff!

Julie Andrews in Darling Lili, sings the
girl in no mans land.
I know there were several Doris Day movies, but the only one I can recall, without looking them up, is the glass bottom boat, with Rod Taylor and Arthur Godfrey. I dont think Hudson was in that one, but he appeared with Taylor in a gathering of eagles. I rather liked it, since I was in the USAF, for more years than I care to admit. Robert Lansing played a General in 12 Oclock High, but in a gathering of eagles, he played a lowly, worthless NCO, like I was. Its interesting though. My son is about to become a USAF flying officer. I told him, he better treat the enlisted people like certified human beings, since they are the one who keep his aircraft flying.

I think that true monogamy among gay men is quite rare.HOMOSEXUAL, because there's nothing GAY about it.

Thank you kindly. I forgot to mention, Doris Days son was loosely affiliated with Charles Manson. In the few conversations I had with ole Charlie, I never asked him if he knew Doris Day. 👎

HOMOSEXUAL, because there's nothing GAY about it. I completely get your point. Sadly, I think the word "gay" is lost.
I remember when I started studying French in the 1970s, the word "gai" actually meant "happy." These days, even in French, the word has lost its original meaning.
I think that the homosexual community appropriated the word for the precise fact that they are, for the most part, deeply unhappy, and must always pretend otherwise.

There was a National Enquirer article (in the black and white days) about the ‘truth’ regarding those Jim Nabors/Rock Hudson wedding rumors.
The original ‘gag’ was spread by to homosexual friends of theirs.
“Pyle” much much later professed that he’d been “married” to another man for 38 years (long before any state was recognizing same sex marriages).
But it was “homophobia” to believe that Rock and Jim (who were hanging out a lot together) were gay or partners.
Whatever.
Biggest secret was no secret to the studios.
Just as the Hollywood blacklist (which was compiled by private individuals as a boycott list) was circumvented by talent who knew who were they were hiring under pseudonyms. Can’t let the paying public know what’s going on.

The news networks don’t cover the news anymore. It’s pathetic.

The media machine has even said that Mary Jo would be so proud of what Ted Kennedy DID accomplish in the years after this incident that she’d forgive him for the death thing.

Watching any “news” nowdays is asking to be gaslighted. I’ve even stopped FNC, except when something big has happened. I feel a lot better.

Ditto here on nightly news, at least from the approved networks. Find it highly insulting to my intelligence.

Most homos never delete their Grindr accounts, even after getting married.
I cant remember how many gays there are estimated, but there are MILLIONS of Grindr (exclusively gay) accounts, so you do the math.

I read somewhere that gay men in a relationship have fewer trysts than those who are not in a relationship, but they are not monogamous. I think that true monogamy among gay men is quite rare. There are at least a couple of studies on monogamy (if it can be described as that) among homosexual men which show that there are virtually NO instances in the studies where these men were exclusive to each other. They just redefine monogamy to fit in with their warped world view.
