The Altria Group and Nikon Inc. were both expected to attend the NRAs annual event May 4-6 but have since backed out of the event.
Altria Group is the parent corporate for big tobacco, such as Marlboro cigarettes and Skoal smokeless tobacco.
Nikon, the photograph equipment company which makes rifle scopes has been appeared at several past NRA conventions.

So, if Marlboro and Nikon are out, I suppose no more pictuers of "smoking guns"? ;-) Toss in a little bad grammer and lack of proof reading and here you have a post.

Actually, Nikon makes some pretty darn good scopes for the money they cost.

So does Bushnell and so far they are Very supportive of the NRA.

I don’t think a correlation with smoking is particularly positive for the NRA, any more than a correlation with male enhancement products is.

Damned shame I wont be able to buy them anymore.

So, when is Nikon announcing that they will no longer manufacture Rifle Scopes? They obviously hate Firearms.
If you’re going to shoot, shoot, don’t talk.

“Nikon has appeared at several NRA events.”
This implies that there have been some years when Nikon did not appear at the annual NRA event.
So maybe they’ll be back in the future, when some of the ‘smoke’ clears from this hot topic.

“Quietly” huh? Hey Big Boyz, why not just announce to the world, like Dick’s is doing?
The reality is, they’ll be back.
Provided the NRA lets them back
NRA members and 2nd Amendment supporters won’t forget. These cowards will take financial hits in the interim.

Not worried. We are taking names. Those who are abandoning the Constitution should be worried.

"...cameras and rifle scopes..."
The marketplace for cameras is shrinking.
The bulk of day-to-day snapshots are taken via smartphone, so unsure why Nikon wishes to alienate buyers from a different segment of their firm.
If anything, they should seek to bolster their scope and binocular business.
