Dick’s Sporting Goods has reportedly retained several lobbyists to urge lawmakers to take action on gun control, months after restricting gun sales in its stores.
The sporting-goods chain is working with three lobbyists from the Glover Park Group to take on the topic, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing a disclosure form filed late last month.
The move comes after Dick’s announced in the wake of the mass shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school in February that it would stop selling assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines.

Dick’s are a bunch of pu$$ies.
Yes.... Dick’s has made it on my no go list. Tossed the tv, don’t go to movies, don’t buy many products formerly popular in my household. Many restaurants are on the list, too. No problemo.
Bloomberg probably owns a chunk of their stock and is threatening them. Total WAG. I haven’t done any research.
My local range has lots of gun control experts. They can show you how to control any weapon. It’s all in the breathing...
I am no longer a Dick’s customer. I used to buy a lot of stuff at Sports Authority, and when they went out of business, Dick’s took over their customer list.
So tired of this stuff.
What a ridiculous waste of money. There’s no shortage of anti-gun sentiment running around out there. They made their bed now they’re going to lie in it.

I just received the following email from Springfield Armory:

Springfield Armory is beginning to redeem themselves I think.
We’ve often bought Dicks gift cards for our hunting-aficionado nephew. Guess we’ll have to shop somewhere else...
I was going to go to Dick’s tomorrow to buy some fishing equipment. Guess I won’t now.
Well I’m very pleased to say they will never get another dollar of mine....they can pound salt.
I used to shop at Dick’s, no more. I recently walked through the store to kill some time. Overload of Yeti products.
It’s dropped $3 in stock price, about 10%, since April 26.
