The Rev. Patrick Conroy, chaplain of the House of Representatives, said in a letter on Thursday that he was rescinding his resignation amid his high-profile ousting by House Speaker Paul Ryan.
The Associated Press reported that Conroy wrote in a two-page letter to Ryan, the retiring Wisconsin Republican, that he has never "heard a complaint about my ministry" as House chaplain.
Democrats have expressed outrage over Ryans decision to push Conroy out of the job.
Ryan has told fellow Republicans that he fired the House chaplain, a Roman Catholic priest from the Jesuit order, after complaints from members that he wasn't doing a very good job.
"He had a number of complaints that the chaplain was not meeting the pastoral needs of the members in general," said Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colo.

The poor chaplain probably told Ryan that diddling little boys is bad. Now, he probably threatened to rat out Ryan if he didn’t hire him back. Glad to see he’s standing up to that RINO.
Why are you aligning yourself with the leftist thug congresscritters in defending this leftist? Seems kinda strange to see such on a conservative values driven website.

Quite the opposite. This chaplain loves him some homo.
I'm supporting the chaplain and not that RINO weasel Ryan.
Jesuit...... nuff said. he should be fired
Jesuits are the Pope’s SS
This has nothing to do with defending leftists. I think if you are going to remove someone line CONROY, then do it!!!
Ryan just looks like what he is. A poor excuse for a Speaker of the House when his POTUS needs a real leader. While we are on the subject, McConnell is no leader as well.
The choice should not be between Traitors and Obstructionist Scumbags like Pelosi and Schumer vs. Fools and Cowards like Ryan and McConnell.
What are House rules on rescinding a resignation, or appointing a new chaplain?
No, he told Ryan that diddling little boys is good.
Still want to throw yourself on his pyre?
Given this guy’s position on the “social issues,” I’d say your conclusion is accurate.
The purpose of ‘leaders’:
the two we now have in congress are of as much use as the one used on a fishing line.
Fishing Line: A leader will hide the line to which the hook and bait are attached. It can provide protection from sharp teeth and other sharp, cutting objects. Some leaders absorb more water and become heavy. Some leaders will stretch as a shock absorber when the bait is hit. Leaders can be abrasion resistant; some leaders float, some absorb heat. Others will make the line almost invisible.
The same aspects could be applied to our two ‘leaders’
During history Jesuits have done some amazing things. Yes. Off now.
Ok, burn him. He doesnt pray in the name of Jesus.
The chaplain is a leftist who used his office to advocate for Obamacare. Too bad for him that his resignation is already final.

Why don’t you just educate yourself about the situation before commenting? Or do you just take quick, cheap anti-Catholic potshots?

AGREE 100%

You should both be embarrassed and ashamed to post your disgraceful, hateful, biased vitriol on a public forum...
Jesuits are poison.
