According to four administration officials, allegations against Jackson were brought by VP Pence’s Army Physician Dr. Pena.
Dr. Pena, officials contend, has held a long-time grudge against Jackson because of his continuing promotions in the White House.
Senator Tester, who made the allegations against Jackson public on CNN, would not disclose his source.

“According to four administration officials, the main allegations were brought forth by Vice President Mike Pence’s Army physician Dr. Jennifer Pena, who is assigned to Pence by the White House Medical Unit and does not work directly for the office of the Vice President. Those officials contend Pena has held a long-time grudge against Jackson because of his continuing promotions in the White House.”
Please note that Dr. Pena was an Obama appointed doctor on the White House Medical Unit who was ASSIGNED as Vice President Pence’s physician. She dos NOT work for VP Pence. And in reading the article, one will find that her dislike for Rear Admiral Jackson, pre-dates the 2016 election.

Trump would have never won the election without Pence as his VP. Many people who were wary of Trump personally felt it was ok to vote for him if a man as (seemingly) upstanding as Pence thought he was ok.
I have never, and I will never, trust Mike Pence.
The VP job is attack dog, which Pence has not once assumed. In fact, he has never even been a defense dog – Pence has been completely absent whenever a vigorous defense of Donald Trump has been called for.

True, compare him to Biden, Gore, Cheney, etc. All were far more aggressive in going to the mat for their president. And all were far more aggressive in lining up the Senate leadership.
Can’t defeat the Obama/Bush/Clinton nexus by keeping any of their holdovers employed. Mass terminations were in order on Day One.

Pence is loyal if he is anything. You are benefiting from Pence's strong rational conservatism every day. I'm convinced that most of the conservative policies coming out of the WH are Mike Pence positions playing through the Donald Trump channel. You'll see that confirmed after President Pence is inaugurated on 20 Jan 2025, though he can't match Trump's combativeness and persistence. By that time we may not need that so much - eight years of conservative successes might have ground down the progressive loonies to exhaustion.
