They used to make Scooter Pies, too. Back in the 60’s.
Because it’s the BOY scouts. What part of that do you not understand? Boys need to be boys. I’m really over this national obsession with everything has to be good for girls, screw boys and what they need. If the girls and their parents don’t like what lesbians and PPH have done to the girl scouts change it. Don’t destroy what little boys have left. We have all girls schools, all women professional organizations, special programs to introduce girls to STEM careers and on and on, but mention that maybe it would nice to reserve something just boys you are a hater.
Scooter Pies have become moon pies which I am more familiar with. Never had a scooter pie. A least not that I remember.
What are you talking about? When we went camping there were no facilities. Our meetings were in church utility rooms or Scout Huts. What does that have to do with the price of beans in China?
1. XX and XY indicate sex, not perversion.
2. A lot of things change in high school. I’m talking about little boys.
anti BSA wackos will ha field day with this thread. The sanctimony will drip
What you just did is you made a statement that girls can’t do things for themselves and have to depend on boys to do it for them.
Don’t lose the impact of this moment.
It shows the inherent contradiction not just in feminism, but in all of progressive ideology from top to bottom.
No, some girls would rather camp and learn life skills than learn to make crafts and sell cookies..
So you think the only way they can do that is to join a system already created by boys and men?
“Scout Troops wont be integrated. They are COMPLETELY separate. We did not allow girls into Troops. Chaos.”
You say that now...
I pack of Cub or Boy Scouts for girls and only girls appears to be the current practice.
I have no problem with that.
The troops should not be coed.
You’re saying girls have no choice but to depend on boys for everything.
Rubbish!

Then form a new organization. Don't use your own failures to destroy somebody else's organization.

When I was a kid, Cub Scouts ended at 5th grade (age 11 for most), Boy Scouts was 12 & up.
Back in ‘98 I saw a local news report (Greenville, SC)...the Girl Scout camp there had air conditioned cabins.
“Youre saying girls have no choice but to depend on boys for everything.”
I don’t think boys organized or administers the Boy Scouts.
What you’re missing is that you unknowingly made the assertion that girls/women are innately dependent on boys/men because the girls who want to camp and “learn life skills” have no choice but to use an institution founded and created by men and boys.
However at weblo age we were noticing the girls more. That is when we started liking action girls. I don't mean 'fast' girls. If they could run fast they were cool though.
One of my first camping trips around 1965 was in a limestone cavern a few hundred yards deep and and a couple of hundred feet down. Lots of scaling down rock walls and over and through tight tunnels. We slept in our sleeping bags a few feet from an underground river. I had a very hard time keeping up myself.
Another "Eskimo weekend" we woke up with a foot and half of snow around the tents. Had a fantastic time.
On one camping trip we had to climb a mountain to get to our campsite. Paul M. gave out and couldn't make it. My oldest brother had made a plywood backpack, basically a box with rawhide straps, and my younger had taken it on that camping trip. My brother is hefty and stout. He carried Paul's backpack and that heavy plywood backpack the rest of the way up the mountain.
My last trip with my Explorer Post was to Ontario Province for a couple of weeks in Algonquin Provincial Park for a canoe trip with very strenuous portages between several lakes. The blackflies swarmed all over and their bites were vicious. We were only safe from out on the lakes. My younger brother woke up one morning with his eye closed shut. One of the guys had his hand swell up as big as a catcher's mitt. At one point one of the guys sliced his foot open with his axe. Two of our high school track team members ran miles on logging roads to the closest Mountie Station to get a pontoon plane to airlift him to a hospital.
So sad to see this destroyed by progressive Alinsky salami slicing.
