That’s because Pollard knew all about Weinberger and company’s making nerve gas and other chemicals in a Rockville, Maryland location

and then getting them to Saddam Hussein and Iraq during the Iran/Iraq war.

Why didn't Pollard ever apply for parole?

Some of us know the answer to that, even though nobody associated with Pollard -- including his "public defender" Rep. Eliot Engel (D-Israel) -- will ever admit it.
