In a nutshell, Wictor's overall conclusion is that President Trump has been backing the U.S. military off and this is allowing the Saudis, the Israelis and the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) to settle affairs in that region. A lot of this is being done "off the radar" as U.S. media continues to focus on nonsense like Russia collusion, Stormy Warren, etc.
A main narrative is that the Iranian mullahs are being slowly taken down by mostly peaceful means. Another is that there are currently some 14 GCC offensives in Yemen that nobody (in the media) are noticing.
At first I was skeptical but Wictor backs it up with tons of video from the region and first-hand sources.
If anybody here is on Twitter, I would give @ThomasWictor a follow. He puts an enormous amount of info out on Twitter.

gotta love the fact that suddenly the Syrians can’t even identify who’s bombing them when just a few weeks ago they were claiming their russian SAMs knocked out 77 out of 110 allied missiles ...

I don’t think Israel minds the Russians being there, but Iran is a non-starter. And, as we see here, Israel will take the steps necessary to make it very costly for Iran to stick around.

Probably was Israeli as the Iranians have been in the process of upgrading missiles and guidance systems stockpiled in Syria scheduled for transhipment to Hezbollah or use by al-Qods under Iranian Gen. Suleimani in preparation for a massive attack on the Israeli Golan. The troops killed would have been specialists doing the upgrades.
Trump should say, on the “hotline” to Putin: You know Vlad, the Mullahs in Tehran are drawing you into their war, and that won’t be good for you. They are not in Syria to defend Syria, but to attack Israel, at some point. You do not want to be part of that. It will not go well for you.
