Caravan of migrants has reached the border, braces to cross despite Trump's warnings (HORRIBLE)

Members of a migrant caravan have reached Tijuana, Mexico, where they were preparing for a Sunday showdown with American immigration officials. The administration of President Donald Trump has described the group as a threat, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions called the caravan as "a deliberate attempt to undermine our laws and overwhelm our system."

Nearly 20 attorneys from the United States were in the border city dispensing advice to the migrants as a healthy slice of the nearly 400 people who ventured north through Mexico from Central America planned to ask for asylum Sunday, according to Pueblo Sin Fronteras' Gina Garibo, who has been helping to guide the caravan.

Perfectly describes what is happening, and why our elected politicians on Capitol Hill, with very few exceptions, should be arrested and charged with treason for refusing to carry out their primary Constitutional duty to protect our country from foreign enemies. One flaw in that—NO country other than the US allows such phony asylum seekers. They have borders. What a concept. Japan, China, Iran,N .Korea,Pakistan-—just try waltzing across the border and waiting for hugs and welfare gifts. Keep waiting. Talk is cheap, it’s action that is needed, and if Mr. Trump hopes to finish out his term, he better start doing more than talk, and like right away. And if he needs to defy the dictates of the Congress and the Courts, then he needs to DO IT before it’s too late.

After Trump leaves office, the border guards will just sit there and watch people climb over it or tunnel under it.

The key to stopping illegal immigration is universal E-Verify and huge civil lawsuits against corrupt employers.

When the jobs stop, most of the illegals will stop, too.

Hey caww, here’s a news flash for you: I state what I think on this forum and I don’t give a crap what you or anyone else thinks about what I post. And for your information I’ve been a 100% supporter of DJT from the first day he announced his candidacy, but I will never hesitate to hold his feet to the fire if he appears to be vacillating on matters of national security. He needs to STOP these invaders, and if that means defying Congress and the Courts then he needs to quit procrastinating and just do it.

But while President Trump could order active duty military personnel or federalized
National Guard troops to assist with border security operations, they would not be
allowed to carry out law enforcement duties like detaining migrants crossing the border illegally.

That’s because the Posse Comitatus Act prohibits the U.S. military from conducting
law enforcement duties in the United States. The only way that can be allowed is
by a special congressional authorization.

That would be like the Russians pouring into Alaska because we “stole” Alaska from them.

Or the Louisiana Purchase of 1803, "stolen" from France for about $15 million including cancellation of French debts. In California, the Russians told the Spanish they weren't interested in keeping northern California, so they walked away from it (Fort Ross in Sonoma County just north of SF, still there). Russians sold it to John Sutter (of Gold Rush fame) for practically nothing while Sutter was under Mexican rule. The Russians got a little smarter later on and sold Alaska to the USA for real money.

So, if we give the west including California back to Mexico, we should give Alaska back to Russia, and the Louisiana Purchase comprising 15 US states back to France. What would we have left as the USA? We bought California and own it; we should have made Mexico a territory when we won the war against them, at least they would have a legal basis for crossing the border!

Well claiming you are a 100% supporter doesn’t jive with what your posting...nor does holding his feet to the fire in this event, which is still in progress.....If you think Trump needs to understand this situation with illegals and refugees etc. then you have not been listening to him. (holding his feet to the fire?).

Further if you’re acquainted with his political moves you would understand that manuvers and various other actions, and not, are just that and not what the ultimate outcome is or hopes to be.

You sound ‘frightful’ that things are not happening fast enough for you.....but when we need things to “stick’ and make a difference ‘long term’ we need most of all to give our President ‘room’ to do his work and not jump on every little bend of the road along the way.
