Have another cup of coffee. I put Texas in the key words. College Station is where A&M is.

Wasn’t it a green mamba in Florida that bit a cable install guy a couple of years ago?

Is College Station anywhere near where I live in Belvidere, N.J.? I can’t tell from the article. But we do have a lot of venomous snakes in N.J. AND THEY ARE MOSTLY POLITICIANS.
To: bgill
Does anyone believe this lie in the article?
“Authorities are seeking the snakes owner to ensure that no one has been bitten by the snake.”
Somehow I think the owner's welfare isn't as important to the authorities as punishment and seeing if they are missing anymore snakes.

When I was young dumb and full of C--; I seriously considered taking a breeding pair of Piranha back to SEA with me to plant in the Mekong River.

Texas and most of the deep south are at the same latitude as much of the natural range of this snake. I wouldn’t assume these couldn’t become an invasive species.

Unlike adult snakes, baby snakes do not control their venom when they strike. They will dispense every last drop they have available.
To: fungoking
Yikes. That’s one wild and wooly story. You wouldn’t have found me in those looky loos in that grown up junky yard.
