Parkland teacher under fire for allegedly calling Pro2nd student Kyle Kashuv ‘Hitler’ in class

Officials at the Florida school where 17 students were gunned down during a mass shooting on Valentine's Day are investigating allegations a teacher compared pro-Second Amendment student Kyle Kashuv to "Hitler" and called him "dangerous."

The comments were allegedly made by Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School American history teacher Gregory Pittman, an outspoken gun control advocate. Pittman's reported remarks came after photos posted to social media showed Kashuv visiting a gun range with his father.

“School leaders take all matters involving students and staff seriously,” Broward County Public Schools spokeswoman Nadine Drew told Fox News. “They are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter.”

Kashuv, a junior, posted a photo and video from his first time shooting a gun with his father, a veteran of the Israel Defense Forces, on Twitter last Friday. He told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that photo led to an interrogation from a school official and a report from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, which found the tweets to be “non-threatening.”

Pittman and Kashuv went back and forth on Twitter, where the teacher said it was “bad” for Kashuv to hold a gun and said Kashuv was just doing it to get “attention.” During a class discussion days later, Pittman allegedly began disparaging Kashuv, who was not present.

A junior who witnessed the rant told Fox News that Pittman “was a bit angry” and launched into a tirade Wednesday during the last 10 minutes of class after one student brought up the Twitter exchange.

“It was basically a hate fest,” the student said. “They were just saying means things about Kyle. He talked about how he was right, and how Kyle was making an ass of himself.

If this is true then Kyle could make the following argument to the instructor. "Hitler took guns away because he wanted to prepare the way for the Holocaust. You want to take guns away so that you can prepare the way for a new Holocaust."

Never mind that the logic is faulty. You accuse the teacher of wanting a new Holocaust just to punch their button! Soy boy teacher will explode!

Thank you for that research that indicates Hitler relaxed many of the gun controls - but stiffened them for the Jews. Obviously the Jewish kid can still use it as an argument against his teacher.

I was sure that the Weimar Republic had instituted gun control because I remembered reading about street clashes between socialist groups and police.
By the time Hitler came to power he had a whole generation that needed to be trained in the use and care of firearms for the army he would need.

The student could very easily use the prohibitions on Jewish ownership of guns with his teacher. Why is it okay to take gun ownership from only certain classes of people.

Stalin introduced gun control in Russia, making it illegal for citizens to own rifles, shotguns and pistols.
Being typical Russians most people “lost” their weapons in tragic hunting accidents, akin to the venerable FR boating accident.

Guns didn’t become available to Soviet citizens until 1992 when Gorbachev made it legal to own smooth bore and double barrel shotguns.

In 2000 Putin legalised handgun ownership under strict licensing.

In 2010-2011 the Russian Federation suffered a rash of killings and kidnappings by islamists.
They instituted Castle Doctrine, Stand Your Ground laws and created Public Carry Permits.
Law enforcement and the military hosted training classes and shooting events.
Islamist killing and kidnappings stopped.

Muslims filed suits and were politically destroyed.
