The Daily Beast will suspend future columns from Joy Reid due to the fallout over comments she made on an old blog a decade ago, the websites executive editor Noah Shachtman told staff in an internal memo on Wednesday.
Were going to hit pause on Reids columns, said Shachtman in an email reviewed by TheWrap. As youre well aware, support for LGBTQ rights and respect for human dignity are core to Daily Beast. So were taking seriously the new allegations that one of our columnists, Joy Reid, previously wrote homophobic blog posts during her stint as a radio host.
Obviously, this is a difficult situation, Shachtman added. Weve all said and done things in our lives that we wish we hadnt done. We deserve the room to grow beyond our past. But these allegations are serious enough that they deserve a full examination

Well, I didn’t care to watch Brokeback Mountain either for the same reasons as Joy. Not my cup of tea.
The faggot mafia strikes again ... If you want to discover from where the sodomites get their power, and to what ends they will eventually go in using it, then I highly recommend to you the book: The Pink Swastika, by Scott Lively. It’s a well-researched serious examination of Hitler’s merry band of murderous sodomites, and their role in achieving globalized indoctrination into the cult of SM faggotry.
Blacks against the Gays? Get the popcorn.
The heck of it is, this is the first thing she’s ever said or written that I agree with!
“Blacks against the Gays? Get the popcorn.”
With Noah Shachtman as the referee?
Oh, so now “changing one’s mind” on homosexuality isn’t good enough.
Is Obama going to pay a price for his earlier public opposition?
A nice start but she has to go. Get her off the tube, I get triggered or whatever that is every time I see her on TV.
I just can't take seeing her homo phobic azz staring at me from my TV.
Make her go away...
As we saw with the French Revolution and the Bolshevik coup - the resistance always eats its young.
So she won't be the first black woman they canned. And IMO, Joy's behavior here is worse than MHP's three or four objectionable stunts that could have been the real but unstated reason for her getting the ax.
(It turns out that MHP was the one that didn't belong.)
I know this is a story about The Daily Beast putting her on waivers, but we know well what a hive mind they are on that side of the aisle. I say her days at MSNBC are numbered, with or without a Twitter mob coming after her.

I wonder if this is their excuse to get rid of her after she pissed off Christians.
They can’t admit they’re getting rid of her to appease the right, so they found an excuse the left will get behind.
Ha ha.
Maybe she’ll go yeezy
Just another lunatic Liberal trying to have it both ways
The Daily Beast began publishing on October 6, 2008. The Beast's founding editor was Tina Brown, a former editor of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker as well as the short-lived Talk magazine. Brown stepped down as editor in September 2013. John Avlon, an American journalist and political commentator as well as a CNN contributor, is the site's editor-in-chief and managing director. In March 2017 former chief strategy and product officer Mike Dyer left for Intel. In May 2017, Heather Dietrick was appointed president and publisher. The name of the site was taken from a fictional newspaper in Evelyn Waugh's novel Scoop.
