(snip) --- On March 2, Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States. Everyone forgot the line that followed: This announcement should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation or suggestive of the scope of any such investigation, he added. But what he did not say was that the announcement should not be interpreted as denial of the existence of any such investigation. The Swampand virtually all of the hysterical right that was conditioned to being stabbed in the back by its elected or appointed officialsmerely assumed that no investigation was going on.
Surprise. In fact, Sessions inherited an ongoing investigation by the Inspector General Michael Horowitz. There was an investigation under way (perhaps many) at the very moment Sessions uttered those words. Horowitz had been, in the words of Arlo Guthrie, oppressed, suppressed, repressed sitting on the Group W bench. His legitimate investigations under the Obama regime had been squelched, sidetracked, or unceremoniously cancelled. Horowitz was one of those rare Washington creatures: a man who actually has a sense of honesty in his mission.

It’s not easy selling 4-D arguments to 1-D thinkers.

Wake me up when Hillary, et al, go to prison. Which implies you are sleeping. During the greatest time to be alive.

Nice post. Thank you. I think we are all just a little antsy here. We want to see arrests or indictments, but we should all know getting the right pieces in place for the right timing is worth waiting for.
I hope.

Don’t be a Gloomy Gus. Mueller’s got a weak hand and he knows it.

I wasn't a dog person until about eight years ago. I also was a cat person for 60 years of my life..... many cats in our house.
They are so darn different and so darn great in their own ways.
Take care ......

Mueller’s report will read a lot like the DNC law suit. I would say that they got an advance copy of his report and built their filing off of it.

A little over six months until the elections and Jeffery B. Sessions had better have a few big names indicted by then or we can kiss it all goodbye and that includes 2020!

Jeff Sessions has been AG for 1 year, 2 months, 17 days.Zero accomplishment noteworthy besides stealing a paycheck, sleeping on the job as the President's/America's enemies run amok.
Losing a Senate seat for this AG was a big FAIL.

mueller does not have to prove anything, just throw out the accusations. The repubs in congress will do the rest. Once their done, no outsider will ever run for office again. You can call me gloomy, but I saw what they did to Nixon.

I agree. This 4D, or any other D, Chess business is remarkably idiotic. Every time I read the 4D Chess attribution I bang my head on the table.

Interesting thought, I think it is more then possible.

I trust what LS says...He knows a lot of what goes on. Was this not the same individual who declared Mueller was a covert Trump ally?☺
