(snip) --- On March 2, Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States. Everyone forgot the line that followed: This announcement should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation or suggestive of the scope of any such investigation, he added. But what he did not say was that the announcement should not be interpreted as denial of the existence of any such investigation. The Swampand virtually all of the hysterical right that was conditioned to being stabbed in the back by its elected or appointed officialsmerely assumed that no investigation was going on.
Surprise. In fact, Sessions inherited an ongoing investigation by the Inspector General Michael Horowitz. There was an investigation under way (perhaps many) at the very moment Sessions uttered those words. Horowitz had been, in the words of Arlo Guthrie, oppressed, suppressed, repressed sitting on the Group W bench. His legitimate investigations under the Obama regime had been squelched, sidetracked, or unceremoniously cancelled. Horowitz was one of those rare Washington creatures: a man who actually has a sense of honesty in his mission.

Despite Sessions being on his own for years in the Senate, not part of the in-crowd of Cornyn, Thune, McCain, and McConnell, he was a deeply imbedded member of the Deep State? For years the Obama DOJ/FBI had blackmail material on him as he continued to vote against their agenda? And he has now completely caved to the Left? And he just needs to defy Trump in order to keep his job?? Huh?
Who will all these Freepers apologize to after they are shown to have been wrong? After they have maliciously belittled him for day after day.

If Mueller had *anythng* it would have been on the front page of the NYT and WaPo. There is zero chance it would not have been leaked to a grateful media.
Hes hanging on in hopes of catching Trump in a perjury trap. Thats what the Stormy idiocy was all about. Its Muellers MO.

Folks are taking him at his word.
You want people to apologize for taking Jeff at his word?

I think we will know in a few weeks. I believe the deep state and the republicans will get away with what they are doing. I would very much like to be wrong, but I have seen nothing to suggest otherwise.

Do you include President Trump among those who owe Sessions an apology?

So if I take you at your word and the rest of the “whine” club here itching for a couple of orange jump suit shots on TV
Since Jeff Sessions reports DIRECTLY to the president by inference not only is Session a waste of Oxygen so is his Boss who leaves him in there and his name is Donald J Trump.
Unless you are a total toadie you would never leave an incompetent there under your command to eff everything up you are trying to do
So I ask of this great assemblage of Intellectual might, what say you..
Whos is the bigger failure in your view, Sessions or his boss The President
No quibbling now, cast your votes as the situation per all of your collective wisdom compels us to state here and now do we trust Trump to run things since obviously so many of you know more than him what must be done
So vote
Trump is an idiot or not
If not then shut up and let him run the show!

Sessions went dormant for your sins.
To: LS
I just unloaded on the idiots that followed your post about Sessions, I have just about had it with the new legion of people that are infesting the boards and jump on every bandwagon that seems to promise instant gratification.
You and I and a few other realize the magnitude and scale of the global conspiracy that is being untangled, not just wounded lest it rise again in a few years and off we go again
As Georg Patton said, I don’t like paying for the same ground twice!
On the other hand, the QAnon threads are quite popular and people are waking up and they frequently comment about the “others” on the board who are in the same state of mind as the ones posting after yours
at least they are waking up, some never will or they will show up at the end and act like they were there all the time
Keep up the great work, Larry, I know where you are coming from and I personally appreciate all you do!

If Q really has the connections, then why is he letting the cat out of the bag by posting it on the world wide web?
I can’t think of a good reason to let us in on the secret.

Excellent analysis by Larry Schweikart, though I doubt many FReepers even bothered to read it. If one suspends years of frustration and raw emotions, the observable behaviors support the following conclusions:
- The bad actors have been panicked while Trump and Sessions have appeared eerily confident since taking office.
- Knowing something to be true does not mean you can prove it beyond reasonable doubt in your one shot in court; irrefutable evidence must be obtained.
- Justice IG Horowitz was stonewalled by AGs Holder and Lynch for years until Rep. Chaffetz rammed through the Inspector General Empowerment Act in December, 2016 -- after which Horowitz began receiving the documents he had demanded.
- Sessions's limited recusal was a strategic feint.
- Rosenstein, a 12-year US Attorney, was selected by Trump and Sessions to implement their strategy.
- Mueller was recruited by Trump, who interviewed him in the Oval office the day before DAG Rosenstein appointed him as special counsel.
- Mueller has distracted attention from Horowitz and various US Attorneys (and grand juries) while Mueller's staff of Trump haters have exhausted every imaginable accusation against Trump.
- AG Sessions was a federal prosecutor for 18 years, and earned the nickname "stealth assassin" for his skill at keeping major investigations out of the public eye until indictments were announced.
- Criminal investigations and grand jury presentations are conducted in absolute secret -- except when run by Democrats.
- Trump and Sessions have forced Congress to actively investigate multiple scandals and to publicly demand and wrestle for almost every shred of evidence.
- When the traps are sprung, Congress and an angry public will be fully invested in the process so that Trump cannot be accused of dictatorial or vindictive behavior.
- If President Trump was not satisfied with the loyalty and performance of his attorney general, Sessions would have been fired long ago.
- President Trump always thinks several steps ahead of his adversaries, and is directing this process.
