Macron is a sniveling liberal fascist politician who will try and blunt PDJT’s forein policy on Iran and Syria.
I see Macron as a weasel. PDJT needs to play both Macron and Merkel like game fish on a long line, and mount them over his bed after having them both processed by an expert political taxidermist. These liberal fascists are being forced to the table by PDJT’s American-centric trade and security policies, and both of them wish PDJT simply was not there BUT THEY HAVE TO DEAL, and PDJT needs to wring what he wants from these little leftists milk sops who refuse to protect Europe or its people from either Russia or Iran.
Those actions were done for French self interests and for dislike of the English rival.

Trump needed some support for his position in the Middle East. Past (long past) connections of France to the region gave Trump some room to maneuver.
Trump is a great president. It is a shame none of the major EU players are on his level. The ones who are, are in smaller nations.
