Cannabis is responsible for 91 per cent of cases where teenagers end up being treated for drug addiction, shocking new figures reveal...The findings also back up academic research, revealed in The Mail on Sunday over the past three years, that skunk is having a serious detrimental impact on the mental health of the young. At least two studies have shown repeated use triples the risk of psychosis, with sufferers repeatedly experiencing delusional thoughts. Some victims end up taking their own lives.

Exactly - we don't advance virtue by outlawing vice.
Still not a random sample, so not validly extrapolatable to the general population.
“It is addictive, as is tobacco, Communism and alcohol,” No it isn’t. Not even close.
The same way the legality of the drug alcohol is: it reduces a profit opportunity for criminals, and respects the liberties of adults.
Alcoholics sort of. Tobacco addicts not so much.
I’m not an advocate of pot legalization, and I don’t think anyone else should be either. But not for the reasons most often stated.
If you legalize pot, you will find more people will be arrested for it than before. They will be arrested for untaxed pot, because once the government legalizes it, they will tax the hell out of it. Folks will still obtain it illegally to avoid the tax. I’m willing to bet you will find more folks arrested on tax charges in the future than on possession charges today where it is technically illegal in most places.
Then my only disagreement with you is that it is"addicting," because it's not, ie. you won't have a stroke or heart attack if you stop using it. I don't buy into the "psychologically" addictive nonsense.
Either criminals get the money or tyrants do. Which is worse?
Think that you won’t be stopped and searched looking for untaxed pot at the whims of law enforcement?
Something is only addicting if you have a stroke or a heart attack from breaking the habit? I wouldn’t have quit smoking if I knew that. I think you need to reexamine the concept of addiction.
Nonsense.
Think that you wont be stopped and searched looking for untaxed pot at the whims of law enforcement?
I've never been stopped and searched looking for untaxed alcohol or tobacco at the whims of law enforcement, nor do I know anyone who has. Do you?
“If you legalize pot, you will find more people will be arrested for it than before.”
How?
So all those people at AA who stopped drinking and didn't die weren't really addicted?
Lol, but you quit. Did you have to go to rehab? I quit tobacco, also, and pot, and even cocaine.
Alcohol withdrawal can actually kill you. Quitting pot cannot. That is a fact.
Nonsense. The majority will buy for . . . .and share with minors
Just like its done with alcohol
Thousands of people are killed every year by drunk drivers, far more than are killed by a random gunman, yet people are always screeching for gun control. I wonder why that is? Oh, call on me, I know! Because the vast majority of people in this country are boozehounds. And now they can be potheads too! Woooo hoooo, it’s gonna be a great future!
No, I quit on my own. But it was hard, very hard. I don’t know if it was physical or psychological, but it was real. If quitting cocaine was easy, then it wasn’t an addiction. I bet it wasn’t easy, though.
No, it was easy as shit. One morning, or afternoon, I stumbled into consciousness and made a choice to never do it again. Yeah, quitting tobacco was hard, needed Chantix. Quitting pot wasn’t, smoked basically everyday for 25 years, and finally got bored with it. Haven’t had it since.
Incarcerated or insane... like zombies, I can go along with that. That’s legit.
And yep outside it is. It finally stopped raining here, so I am about to take my Shepherd girls to the field for some football and tennis!
All good!
I admit I was confused. And yep, opioids can definitely kill, and also seems difficult for me to spell correctly.
