From a privileged perch high above the rest of us mere mortals, the New York Times constantly informs us of what's happening in America - from their perspective, at least.
Of course, they are oblivious to the real America. But don't tell them that. They wouldn't believe you anyway.
Case in point; the Times believes that a few socialists running in far left liberal communities is proof that America is ready for a socialist wave and that the future belongs to the far left.
Rather than shy away from being called a socialist, a word conservatives have long wielded as a slur, candidates are embracing the label.
Yes, it's capitalism's fault that an individual takes on hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt. They are forced at gunpoint to sign the loan papers. And high rent in big cities - caused by socialist policies enacted by far left Democrats - is capitalism's fault too.
The Times, which had daily updates on the Occupy movements around the country, can't seem to grasp that the "movement" is deader than a doornail and was never, ever about "income inequality.
The Times is wrong. There aren't enough millenials to effect a socialist revolution and in the overwhelming majority of the country, "socialism" isn't a "slur"; it is simply despised as un-Amercan.
The Times would know this if their reporters ever ventured beyond the island of Manhattan.

Well, DaCommieo runs NYC.
Why would the NYT not see that as a trend?
The national socialists are marching in Georgia.
Socialism will not spread in the US. It cannot sustain itself. Social Fascism has a good chance. Much of the existing national Democratic Party is already social fascist.
Good. The Democrats must be defined as socialists and open border globalists at their core regardless of what they say. Americans must be educated about socialist legacy, the poverty and misery it causes wherever it has existed.

Next to Islam, Socialism is the bloodiest, most evil organizing idea ever to lay its malignant pall over the earth.
bttt
The Marxists are finally admitting half of it.
The rise of socialism is the result of uncontrolled immigration. Foreigners simply dont understand the concept of America. They bring their totalitarian opinions with them.
Rick Moran should be careful not to make the same mistake that the left makes by living in a bubble.
My experience in Chicago suburbs, and Downstate Illinois, and Georgia is that the word socialist has a positive connotation with most college educated people. In contrast the word Capitalist has a clearly negative connotation. For example, college educated insurance business employees and college educated IT workers at State Farm Insurance overwhelmingly have a positive opinion of Socialism and an extremely negative opinion of the word Capitalism.
The same is true at Allstate Insurance and other big private firms I have been at. In knocking door-to-door in Hanover Park and Elgin and Elburn and Sugar Grove IL the word Socialist/Socialism leans positive and Capitalism leans negative. When Hanover Park flipped from 80% for Socialist Blago to 87% Capitalist, the words Socialist and Capitalist were not used ... for good reason. The same when TeaParty candidates won in Elgin. The TeaParty candidates for city council and school board were pro-capitalist. But they did not campaign with that label.
In contrast, the mayor of Bloomington, IL did campaign with the label Socialist, although it was not the primary label.
The same is true here in Georgia. If Cagle, the likely R candidate for governor campaigns with the Capitalist label and Stacey Abrams, the likely D candidate, were to campaign with the label Socialist it would definitely favor Abrams and be a disadvantage to Cagle ... especially with the swing voters. Of course, I’m not at all certain Cagle is a Capitalist. He seems more like a Corporatist who would spend massive tax money to subsidize Savannah Harbor so it can be cheaper to bring in imports from Asia. And how much tax money and movement of social issues to the left is he willing to do to bring corporatist Bezamazon to Georgia? Cagle is trying hard to not run on the issues.
The socialists kill indiscriminately, and the Islamists target their killings, so the Islamists may seem more dangerous. But socialism/communism killed far greater numbers of people than Islam.
Interesting.

Correct.
Everywhere socialism....indeed communism...has become OK, and indeed good. With FAR TOO MANY people. Doesnt matter that a minority think so...its growing. That minority is probably close to 48%. Yeah, its basically 50/50. THIS is why we may be close to civil war. Far too many have come to HATE AMERICA and what it stands for - basically, freedom and capitalism. This, they must be communists to oppose evil America.
We have far too many TRAITORS in this country. Just the fact they get to spread their propaganda via news and entertainment, constantly preaching while our side doesnt get that podium, is a bad sign.
Ever vigilant.
Being called a socialist is a well deserved slur.
Socialism kills in almost unimaginable numbers.

When I door knocked out that way in 2016 I saw more Hillary for Prison signs on small businesses than I would have imagined. Lots of Trump signs, too.
Now get a bit East into Wheaton and Glen Ellen and the socialist infestation becomes far more apparent.

I wish people would stop using the term “capitalism”. It is a Marxist term.
The choice is between Socialism and Freedom.
LEFT STATE run industries v Free Markets, Free Enterprise.
The LEFTIST milennials do not understand that they are trading their freedom for socialism.
We want open boarders with uncontrolled/unlimited entry, free college tuition, free medical care for everyone, food stamps, government assistance for every need a human can have, abortion on demand, restrictions on "hate speech", safe spaces, government controlled education, advocacy of homosexual/alternate lifestyles-for starters.
Oh yeah, we want to confiscate everybody's guns too.
So vote for us!
