Here we go again. Another day, another ridiculous free-speech controversy. This time it involves a far-left professor at Fresno State University, Randa Jarrar. In the hours after Barbara Bush’s death, Jarrar tweeted that Bush was a “generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal,” adding “F*** outta here with your nice words.” Then, when the inevitable backlash built, she doubled down, taunting her critics with her tenured status, calling Bush a “witch,” and pranking readers by sharing Arizona State University’s crisis hotline.
All-in-all, it was a reprehensible display, a grotesque example of the most stereotypically unhinged radical professor doing her dead-level best to provoke outrage in the name of, what? Social justice? Public awareness of the Iraq War? Who knows? Who cares?

Our reaction is in no way against the First Amendment. That Amendment does not guarantee that one may say whatever they want without disapproval of others. It limits the Federal Government from abridging Free Speech.
Her speech was not just a shared opinion, but instead, a taunt, an insult to civility, a representation of her affiliation with the university that employs her, an injury to a suicide hot-line, and an action to bring disrepute to her profession as a whole.
If her readers, others that are made aware, and people associated with the university and Fresno want to voice or show their disapproval to the employer, the person herself, or her associates, that also is an exercise in free speech.
The left tries to invent an imaginary crime called “hate speech” to violate the sense of the First Amendment. We are not doing that.
David like many in the GOP always want to climb to the higher ground. But that higher ground is on the top of the wood pile the Dems are lighting.
What caused the increase in people going to college to get worthless degrees, was a 1970 Supreme court ruling, Griggs v Duke Power, which barred using tests for job applicants if a lower percentage of blacks passed. So companies used "college degree" as a means of checking if the applicant was literate.
Pass legislation that says that tests may be used in hiring and promotion, without regard to whether different groups pass at different rates, and the college industry will implode. Companies could once-again hire straight out of high school, selecting for applicants with high SAT scores.
She is not a “radical professor”. She is a bitter, evil homosexual Arab filled with hate and entitlement. Should just be put down.
In a perfect world maybe....conservatives have tried that righteous route so much that we are going extinct...because the leftists have no concerns about crushing our free speech...
I'm not saying the lady should be punished but she should be removed from the public teat.
