I realize I will get a lot of flames from what I am about to say, but I will say it anyway.
While it is true that a disproportionate number of black men commit crimes, it is also true that officers are often disrespectful and more so to blacks than whites.
It would be nice if all people being arrested by the police were respectful and cooperative but regardless of whether or not they are the police need to be respectful to the perps, recall that we all have a presumption of innocence. These men got no benefit of the doubt they deserved. They were simply told to leave because someone thought they were loitering while black.
When people are looking for an excuse to be mad at someone or something it is unwise for us to give them a reason, these cops gave a reason.
I don’t do Starbucks for a variety of reasons but if I did I would stop. I am a white guy who has been treated horribly by cops simply because I was carrying a weapon, in my drive way. I don’t like stupid cops and it seems about half of them are.

It is how they accelerate to violence, were out for trouble, it will continue nation wide.
ABC reported this morning that the two men were waiting to meet a third person to discuss a business deal. That within 5 minutes of their arrival they were asked twice to buy something, then told to leave. The two men were not disruptive to other customers and its unclear whether they or the third person was a client of the other.
Somebody in management put a bug up the employees’ butts to clamp down on loitering/Barnes n Noble’ing. THEY need any “sensitivity training” that’s due, not the poor tattooed/dyed/hardwared workers.
I’m sure they were in fear for their lives! Those baristas can be really scary and intimidating!

Maybe the problem is that we’re getting different stories. The first account I read was that Starbucks has a policy that you leave unless you make a purchase. That seems reasonable to me, especially given that their stores are small.

They were NOT targeted because they were black. They were disrespectful and asked to leave. They refused so the cops were called.
Despite given multiple times to simply leave, they refused, so they were arrested. Try it yourself sometimes and you will get arrested also.
At The Plunge(the large public pool)we had fear of being pulled under water and held there and the girls being molested by groups of Blacks (all in fun you know). But guess what, no reporters wrote stories that were published in newspapers because they were afraid to tell the truth and offend the Blacks and set off another riot, so it was all kept hushed up and children lived in fear.
Now we have adult Black males with College educations and degrees because, they say, they are receiving death threats over actions they initiated and capitalized on. Well Boo Friggin Hoo! PUSSIES!
