It seems police need this many if not a lot more shots to take down their targets. Especially if more than one officer is involved. Just saying .
Logically your point is valid. But in the real world of USA, it will be impossible what you are afraid of.
Why??
Because Since December 1791, when 2nd Amendment was enacted, USA is the unique country where civilians could buy firearms. Over 227 years of arming ourselves there are estimated 350-400 Million guns in hands of civilians. Heck we can’t even find the 10 Most Wanted criminals easily, how in the heck are the authorities going to find 350 million guns? Majority of those guns are UNregistered.
It will be far easier to find 11 million illegals than confiscating 350 Million guns.
So, here is what I expect will be enacted in to law. The congress will pass restrictions on SALE of guns with large magazines and raid fire capability.
Finally, no one has ever explained to me how any guns in possession of law breakers will be turned in no matter what laws are passed. Duh...law breakers do not abide by laws!
Relax Seaplaner.... unless you are mega rich person, or a drug dealer, multiple invaders will not bother with you, because there are millions of more lucrative targets available to them.
On the other hand if you are mega rich or a drug dealer, I highly advise you to hire armed guards.
99.99% of home burglaries involve 1 or 2 criminals. Keep your gun loaded and sleep soundly.
I will stick to my point, which is, if one is incapable of dropping 1 or 2 invaders with less than 10 shots, one should not count on any guns to be useful. If one can’t effectively shoot a small handgun, nothing is gonna work. Bigger capacity guns are harder to retrieve and handle.
If you have 5 beautiful daughters, take them frequently to gun range, and teach each one to shoot effectively. And after they become capable in handling hand guns, buy each one a nice 9 mm 10 shot gun. That is what I did with my beautiful 2 daughters.
And I will restate my opinion that unless you are a drug dealer or a mega rich person, statistically a large gang of home invaders will not bother with you. There are millions of more lucrative targets available to them. And if a gang of 5 invaders is stupid enough to invade a middle class family home, their take will be less/hour than flipping burgers at McDonald’s.
But in the real world of USA, it will be impossible what you are afraid of.
