>>Thus, he asks, “Should I Give up on White People?”
When you are feeding a stray dog that does no work and he decides to wander away becuase he doesnt like the free food, you dont mourn for your lost dog. You are glad that he moved on. Thats how I feel about this guy.
So, he admits that he needs the white man to fix his perception problem. A real man would look in the mirror first (ironically, just like Michael Jackson famously sang in ‘The Man In The Mirror’).
“Do I give up on white people”
Do I give up on black people?
Ben seems not to understand that people like Yancy use “systemic white racism” as a code word for capitalism. When we have been stripped of all our constitutionally guaranteed individual rights, and the government controls the means of production (and most government employees are black), then “racism” will have been vanquished.
(HAT TIP MORRISSEY) Labeling someone a “racist” is just a way of changing the subject.
When someone calls you racist, what they are saying is hmm, you actually have a point,
and I dont know how to answer it, so perhaps if I distract you by calling you a bigot
well both forget how enlightened your comment was.
Separate but equal may work.
Why don’t people simply quit giving racist people like George Yancy the time of day.
The left is for racial profiling, but only when it fits their political agenda (rather than the facts.)
Sorry, did you say something? -- White People
Hmmm. Georgia has a pretty strong open records law. I should request the police reports of these death threats.
Give this self loathing twit an all expense paid one week vacation living alone in a ghetto in Harlem, the south-side of Chicago, East St. Louis,
Washington, DC or Atlanta and she might not be so eager to dismantle civilization.
“”I am responsible for speaking out when I hear racist comments.””
Spoken by a supposedly white woman. What kind of racist comments does she hear? Most of us can go all year without hearing anyone in our presence say anything that could remotely be construed as racist.. Age old question - where do these people come from ??????
Not so. There are folks in America that have been deeply involved in the slave trade.
Inshallah!
Yancey’s method:
1) Put out provocative statements.
2) Attract negative responses by the tiny percentage of the population he tried to provoke. My guess is that the death threats and hateful responses he has received come from .0000001 percent or less of the white population.
3) Don’t perform any tests to gauge whether people of other races respond to similar provocation in similar ways and in similar proportions.
4) Interpret that as evidence that all whites are uniquely racist and use it as the basis for more provocative statements.
5) Feel like this makes you profound and important.
The guy is a just another controversialist pushing a political agenda, using garbage anecdotal “evidence” he self-generates to fool the ignorant. Has there been, is there now, and will there be racism in America? Yes. Do controversialists make that better? Of course not. Based on Yancey’s comments, he is amplifying racism, which is his real intention. “The worse the better” is classic Leninism.
Here is George Yancys original column that supposedly generated all the hate mail and death threats:
Dear White America
https://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/12/24/dear-white-america/
It was published December 24, 2015.
So 2+ years later, on April 16, 2018, he writes of all his death threats and such in this:
Should I Give Up on White People?
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/16/opinion/white-racism-threats.html
It takes him two years to discuss all the threats? Which, if they happened, would have almost certainly happened within a few weeks of the original publication, assuming anyone was paying attention to his writing. Which I doubt.
I call B.S. on the claimed volume of threats.
Im giving up on George Yancy. Not on Black people, who I very much want to see be successful and happy, but on George Yancy.
I have no facts to back my position. But I have seen black racism towards whites. But in my adult life all my best friends have been black. I say all because I moved frequently do my military career. I have a few race stories, for I worked for, with and supervised all races.
Selling lies is a new source of income for this “professor” of philosophy, as he calls himself. I would be interested to hear his philosophy. Perhaps a copy of his syllabus for the class he teaches?
If your a loser and never made anything of your life be a professor BS sells in schools now.
Its all a tactic
The author of the original piece wrote a deliberately nasty op-ed insulting whites and of course there was a backlash. Some people said things that were over the top and he made hay of it.
I am more than certain big name conservatives get death threats all the time. they just don’t itemize them.
