If Trump gets tough, he is a warmonger bent on bringing nuclear apocalypse. If he tries to negotiate, he is a stupid man who know nothing about NK's nature. If he wins a war, they will rail against damage or cost of military actions. In this situation, there is no pressing need for NK or China to make any serious course correction. Instead just they stall for a couple of years and will get out unscathed. They may even think that he will be a lame duck by next year if RINO works hard to lose mid-term election. I suspect that RINO's are perfectly happy to lose both houses. That is, it is an acceptable price for getting their control back from Trump.

Fat Boy knows the only way to save the Korean peninsula from China is to unify back with South Korea. I believe that is slowly taking place.
