I’m beginning to wonder if NATO is really needed anymore. Who would want to invade this Charlie foxtrot?!

Exactly. Why should we continue to pour untold $billions into NATO
to defend what the Euros wont defend themselves?

We need to get out of NATO.
There are no free nations left to defend in Western Europe. They are not worth our blood and treasure.
Bring our troops and equipment home.

The EU wants NATO gone. This kind of trouble on the soil of member states is a means to an end, in order to seize more power and consolidate all the national militaries (which is going on under the radar right now; also, Germany has a
new NATO headquarters that is utterly independent of the traditional structure). Clinton was the first US president to let the lid on this Pandoras box pop open just a little, by using NATO in the 1990s for purposes that were never in its remit (Bosnia). Letting them become independent means we have a new enemy to deal with.
