We should keep in mind that former director of the FBI James Comey is now a bookseller. It is hard to differentiate fabulist author James Comey from esteemed civil servant James Comey because both are in the business of preaching the word about the most pious, moral pillar in the modern age: James Comey.

On his storied pursuit of style guru Martha Stewart, Comey unpacked his tortured logic for the ABC audience: “I almost hesitated and almost didn’t bring the case against Martha Stewart, in hindsight, because she was rich and famous. And decided that if she were anybody else, any other ordinary person, she would be prosecuted.”

Apparently his heady algorithm of “what matters in the long run” and “what does my country stand for?” dictated that Martha Stewart be prosecuted.

Those norms were apparently suspended when applied in the case of Hillary Clinton.
