Sean’s zeal for Trump has been soooooooooo dedicated and weirdly blind that no one can doubt that he put love and loyalty to a man, a man he clearly and dearly loves, above conservative values, like the rule of law, restraint, self-control, Christian virtues, common decency, and family values. How odd that Sean would be rolled up with the the two other clients Michael Cohen has, right? How long will it take for a journalist to find out whom Sean has had to pay hush money?

Of course not - unless one is a communist.

No. The fix is in.

These precedents will only be successfully - nota bene: successfully! - applied to conservatives.

Any conservative judges will refuse to abuse the law; most leftist judges (the majority) will eagerly abuse the law.

Unlike Sean Hannity, George Stefanopolis is a journalist. He was also a former Democratic advisor. If anybody should put out a disclaimer, it should be George Stefanopolis.

Unlike George Stefanopolis, Sean Hannity is a talk show host and is not a reporter or journalist. If he was a client of Cohen (according to Hannity he was not) he probably should have weighed in to whether or not to put out a disclaimer to help retain his credibility or whether he would instead protect his privacy. Sean evidently chose the latter.

The BIG issue here is why this info was leaked and who leaked it.

Even BIGGER issue is the FBI Raid on Trump’s lawyer.

Hopefully the Hannity thing wont be a distraction. He was done wrong and I don’t blame him for his anger.

Yes, and more than a few FReepers are happy to join in preferring to spin logic into pretzels to make Hannity the bad guy here meanwhile brushing off what’s happening to Trump and Cohen as if that is all a big nothing burger.

If you ask these apologists why Hannity doesn’t enjoy confidentiality for his sources they say “he’s not a reporter he’s just an editorialist, a commentator, a pundit!”

If you ask them on what grounds he should reveal private conversations with people who happen to be in the news they’ll say “he has a responsibility to follow the ethics of a reporter and a journalist!”

I swear some of these people are watching too much Scarborough and Brezinski and think that’s what passes for logic now.

Amen!

But the question is if it did. My guess is many here would be supporting the move.

Mueller is allowing some of these findings to move through state courts which the President can’t pardon. I guess we’re saying if crimes were committed we don’t want to find and prosecute them if the people involved represent our values. That’s Russian’s way.

But what people are upset about is that Hannity didn’t publicly disclose that he had a few private conversations with a well-known NY lawyer. Even FReepers are telling me that’s what bugs them most.

Misguided worms. Let them eat their bugs!

Hannity had no obligation to disclose the fact of his conversations with Michael Cohen.

But the fact that, having been already outed, he did so indicates there's nothing there for the worms to chew upon.

Juan the liberal fascist at work. I thinks its time for Juan to take his “Alinsky Rules for Radicals” approach to spinning the news and stick it as far up his incapacitated rectum as far as he can possibly reach. Then add water. He would lose 2/3 of his body weight.

You stop deflecting.

He (Hannity) talked about the Cohen raid on his show. He (Hannity) Should have disclosed that he had a lose connection to Cohen in his show. If he had done that, this would be a smaller (bigger?) nothing burger than it is now.

Hannity made a very common mistake, but again I have family in the news buz and that is what they are taught to do for just this reason.

Now everyone is saying “Hannity is an entertainer”. Well he is. He is an opinion piece guy and talk show host. The local talk show guy by me (Jim Fisher) makes an effort to disclose any connections like that on his show. The reason being when a person he has contact with is raided, arrested and or investigated he (Mr Fisher) can say “I did know this guy/gal, and this is my connection to them. I did not know anything about what they were doing outside of what I stated here”. Solves some problems before it happens, and if you have a habit of doing it protects you as a media personality when things do blow up!

Again, a bit of a nothing burger. I can’t speak for Hannity, but as a major media personality I can see him not doing the same amount of discloser that a mid market guy has to (Mr Fisher has been around for 30 plus years and knows dang near everyone in the public eye). The WORST I would see happening to Hannity would be that he has to skip a steak one night at Ruth Kriss’s steakhouse.

However, ethics are ethics. We need to be upfront about that when our guys make a mistake.

And you are a fool who doesn’t seem to recognize an answer that was given.

I gave you an answer, you didn’t like, and decided to attack the person.

He had contact with Cohen,
Hannity talked about the raid on his show.

Journalism ethics are such that Hannity should have stated at some point that he knew Cohen. He did not.

I have been pretty clear. Where did I lie?

You’re lying right there. You said Hannity had a connection to the case. He does not.

Liars don’t deserve a response.
