Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters marched Saturday in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, demanding a new election and a new national electoral system in the biggest opposition rally in years.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban was re-elected for a fourth term last week. His right-wing populist Fidesz party won a supermajority in the national assembly, with preliminary results showing that Fidesz and tiny ally the Christian Democratic party won 134 seats in the 199-seat legislature.

Sounds like the same tactics they used when Trump won.
The left and globalists are itching for a fight.
Break out the billy clubs, Mr. Orban!!
Is this going to be the standard, now -— don’t like the election results, so do everything to overturn them? Wish I’d known that was an option in 2008 & 2012. Oh, wait...I’ll bet it’s only an option for leftists! Silly ol’ me!
And people laugh when this used to happen in Africa.
Damn if that isn't the truth. +1!!
Same thing happens in Poland, when PiS wins.
The PO pukes always claim the election was unfair.
Washington Post acts as Soros’ lackey.
Leftists only believe in “democracy” when they can stuff the ballot box.
Shut these fascists down.
I am sick of the left thinking when they lose they must destroy a government, administration, society.
There isn’t a big one already......WHY?
That’s why they always use the phrase “our democracy “.
In their minds the own and control it.
Notice they never say “Republic” or Constitutional Republic.
Partly correct, Orbans Fidesz-KDNP alliance won 2/3 of the seats but recieved just over 49% of the vote.
Hungary has a somewhat complex process where most seats are single member districts with the leading vote getter winning the seat (no run off even if they are below 50% of the vote for the seat) and the rest are allocated by party list based upon their share of the vote. It ensures the winning party/coalition has a mandate, but it is disproportionate.
While the protesters are most likely sour grapes, the Hungarian system does effectively distort the results and provided Orbán with 2/3 of parliament instead of a simple majority.
