Also... I wonder if the rebel fighters get tipped off, escape quickly, or have any protective gear, all while (a sort of reverse false flag) leaving the others behind. I am under no illusions are to the “niceness” of most of the rebels.
As bad as Assad is, he has yet to invade another country ...
