The report from the Department of Justice inspector general on Andrew McCabe is out. It concludes that McCabe repeatedly lacked candor and leaked materials to the Wall Street Journal that he was not authorized to leak. All of this comes on a day when President Trump pardoned Scooter Libby after his conviction for lying, citing evidence that Department of Justice prosecutors withheld evidence from a witness that affected her testimony.
The IG concludes that McCabe didn't tell the truth to James Comey about leaks:
We found that, in a conversation with then-Director Comey shortly after the WSJ article was published, McCabe lacked candor when he told Comey, or made statements that led Comey to believe, that McCabe had not authorized the disclosure and did not know who did. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.5 (Lack of Candor No Oath).
Afterward, under oath, McCabe again wasn't forthcoming:
We also found that on May 9, 2017, when questioned under oath by FBI agents from INSD, McCabe lacked candor when he told the agents that he had not authorized the disclosure to the WSJ and did not know who did. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor Under Oath).
Remember, General Mike Flynn wasn't even under oath when he spoke to FBI agents.
It gets worse for McCabe.
It says he repeatedly lacked candor under oath when speaking to the Office of Inspector General.
We additionally found that on November 29, 2017, when questioned under oath by the OIG in a recorded interview during which he contradicted his prior statements by acknowledging that he had authorized the disclosure to the WSJ,McCabe lacked candor when he: (a) stated that he told Comey on October 31, 2016, that he had authorized the disclosure to the WSJ; (b) denied telling INSD agents on May 9 that he had not authorized the disclosure to the WSJ about the
PADAG call; and (c) asserted that INSDs questioning of him on May 9 about the October 30 WSJ article occurred at the end of an unrelated meeting when one of the INSD agents pulled him aside and asked him one or two questions about the article. This conduct violated FBI Offense Code 2.6 (Lack of Candor Under Oath).
Finally, the IG concluded that McCabe had no authority to leak information to the Wall Street Journal. The report notes: "The OIG is issuing this report to the FBI for such action as it deems appropriate." In other words, don't expect much more to happen.
Is this the Horowitz report?
Not only “candor” he lacked a lot of stuff that could have been said.
Yes. But just the part related to McCabe.
So why isn’t this being called what it really is, perjury under oath.
Yes, the basic fidings.
Can you imagine how many more there are just like him? Mind boggling.
And people like that are working in our FBI, CIA and numerous other departments. God, please help this country!
“So why isnt this being called what it really is, perjury under oath.”
Good question because that’s what it is.
I’ve said that and I repeat it again, this IG report is a sham, a whitewash, a nothingburger.
McCabe is the chief instigator of the cabal and the “insurance policy” against Trump and all the IG has come up after months of “investigation” is some vague leaks of some conversations. It’s a travesty of justice. And it’s not even a surprise.
I wonder if us “little people” would be described as not showing candor if we were caught LYING like him? There continues to be different rules depending on bank accounts and positions in life.
DOJ just issued the McCabe report - which is a total disaster. He LIED! LIED! LIED! McCabe was totally controlled by Comey - McCabe is Comey!! No collusion, all made up by this den of thieves and lowlifes!

McCabe cannot seem to recall many of the details.
Andy better hire Cohen and his tape recorder.
“So why isnt this being called what it really is, perjury under oath.”
Someone has to charge him with perjury. I wonder who that might be?
I think it’s just a report only on McCabe — more to come.
Take McCabe to GITMO until he is proven to be a coup conspirator, then off to the firing squad and feed his remains to the sharks. They have to eat, and maybe his stench will not dissuade the sharks.
Give me company, Rosenstein and Commie to name two.
Support Free Republic, Folks!
It seems the whole upper management of the FBI corrupt and criminal...The rank and file agents that believe in what their job is had better start doing something such as whistleblowing...
My guess is that president Trump would protect them somehow...
I keep seeing This In My Head, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_E6i2CHdAE, Every time I hear “In-sector General”. lol!!!
Although I am inclined to agree that this IG report is a sham, you have one detail wrong. McCabe is not the “insurance policy.” He, Strozk and Page discussed an insurance policy while in McCabe’s office. We may never know the truth about what or who the insurance policy was, but I speculate that it was Jeff Sessions.
