No, his sentence was only a couple of years, and President Bush did commute that. But I always thought he should have been given a full pardon, and now it has happened, although very, very late.

Was wondering the same thing. I suppose the follow up question is, what other disadvantages did he continue to carry due to the conviction: voting rights, security clearances, gun ownership, holding public office, etc.

Is this to curry favor with some of the #NeverTrumps?
It may work. W. did not defend many political victims during his terms. I recall two border officers who were needlessly prosecuted, fired and imprisoned for killing or injuring an illegal. W. refused to help or pardon them!
