Houston woman with 5 kids fighting to stay afloat after husband's deportation
KTRK-TV ABC Local ^ | April 13, 2018

Marcela Rivera told Eyewitness News she lives in constant fear.

She's an undocumented mother of five American children whose husband, Carlos Gudiel, was just deported back to Guatemala on Wednesday.

Eyewitness News obtained video of him in his home country as he was tearfully reunited with his mother.

"My husband is not a criminal," Rivera said, in Spanish.

Rivera said her husband did cross the border illegally twice but he doesn't have a criminal background. It may be hard for people to understand her situation, she said, but all they ever wanted was a better life.

The Harris County GOP chair said the immigration system needs to be fixed regardless.

"We need to enforce the law," GOP chairman Paul Simpson said. "He's a grown man who made this decision after he'd been deported once before to violate the law again and then father five children, so I hope his family does get reunited with his family back in his home country."

Oh, c’mon-LETS DO ‘think it through from their position’! ==Jose, we live in a shithole, our culture isn’t going to make it any better BUT, in the ElNorte is America and they are so eaten up with guilt about their prosperity they are allowing parasites like us to just WALK IN. Once there they will give us free housing, food, medical care and education. We will bring them diseases not seen in many generations, third world criminal mentalities, and make many children who will be able to claim citizenship.Of course we-and our kids- will remain loyal to the beloved homeland we want to flee and we will send much money and goods home to our relatives so they, too, can make the trip to America. Once here-we will all claim their evil LAWS must be overturned, allowing the whole world to join us! Everything is FREE and we can establish OUR culture here . Soon El Norte will be just like our homelands and the stupid gringos will pay for all of it!

"The Harris County GOP chair said the immigration system needs to be fixed regardless."

Blah, blah, blah.... same old crap. It will never be "fixed." We need a ***king WALL!

Well, the immigration system *does* need to be fixed, but probably not in the way this guy meant.

Here's a start:

Human Events: Mexico’s Immigration Law: Let’s Try It Here at Home

Monday May 8, 2006 12:00 AM

Mexico has a radical idea for a rational immigration policy that most Americans would love. However, Mexican officials haven’t been sharing that idea with us as they press for our Congress to adopt the McCain-Kennedy immigration reform bill.

That’s too bad, because Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue. Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.

...snip...

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

The law also ensures that: Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens — and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, legal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country’s immigration policy.

...snip...

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

...snip...

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,

Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:

Tired of the media always portraying illegals as victims.

We are supposed to cry elephant tears for this illegal alien criminal and her illegal alien criminal husband? Let them reunite their family in their own country.

If they tried to pull this stunt in Mexico they would both be behind bars for five years for breaking Mexican immigration law and their kids would not be considered "Mexican". Here, they get welfare checks, sympathy, and their kids get phony baloney citizenship.

I see them shopping here all the time.

Carts full of stuff I can’t even imagine being able to afford.

Sometimes a dozen of them ahead of me in line, not one speaking English.

Wish I had a thousand bucks to throw away on gaudy fur throw rugs, ugly vases and bad paintings.

Actually, he won’t. Now that ICE has him in their sights the next time he enters they’ll jail him. I bet an ICE agent will routinely monitoring the home and the place he worked.

Thank heavens for Trump. Every day I’m glad for those 10,000 voters in Michigan, the 20,000 voters in Wisconsin, and the 40,000 voters in Pennsylvania.

It may be hard for people to understand her situation, she said, but all they ever wanted was a better life.

That is presactly the same motivation of every thief and burglar. Because of the gains made possible by their outlaw ways, crooks can live the better lives they believe they deserve.

Lets arrange a second tearful reunion back in Guatemala between him and his lovely wife and children. I'm all about compassion don't ya know.

"My husband is not a criminal," Rivera said, in Spanish.

This is the entire problem in a nutshell. They won't assimilate. They won't learn our language. They are nothing but a burden on the country. Deport them all. Why did they leave her here?

Send them all back.

If the “American” kids apply to come back when they turn 18 then we’re probably stuck with them but the parents and relatives can never come back.

Not our problem, not our responsibility. We don’t take adequate care of real American citizens who are in dire straits due to the Kenyan dictatorship so what obligates taxpayers to foot the build for these criminals and their spawn?

I'm sorry...but you could've just leave with him. If you didn't know he was an ILLEGAL you didn't know him before you married him.

Since he got deported, the US taxpayers will send you $100k a month...will that be ok?

Do I need a /s?
