I would answer with a qualified yes. Allowing Assad to get away with this would be rightly perceived as no different from Obamas infamous red line. We are already in Syria and despite our desire to get out now, it is unlikely that we will be able to any time soon. This time, our response should be devastating enough to dismantle as much of the chemical weapons infrastructure as possible. Because of the previous administrations inability to take decisive action when necessary, failure to act will portray the US as a “Paper Tiger” and will have more devastating long term consequences.

For the record....
In your exuberance you listed several friends and allies as enemies.

Who made the Chlorine gas? SAA, al Qods, AQ, or some guy with a chemistry set? As a kid in the 50s making Chlorine gas was fun ... if I could do it 65 years ago why not someone else, anyone else?

The rationale for the U.S. to get involved in the Syrian conflict over “chemical weapon attacks” is much less credible than the rationale for every U.S. city with a Planned Parenthood clinic to be bombed to a pile of radioactive rubble.

Why not just round up all the Syrian refugees in Europe and ship them back instead?
Frankly I’m sick and tired of hearing about that shithole country and could care less. It means nothing to me, nothing.

Saudi Arabia has never been our friend, they financed 9/11.
Afghanistan and Iran are not our allies.

... the United States as the leader of the free world cannot allow Assad to use chemical weapons. That's a really good argument , because the children that died there were in much more pain and are much more dead than the rotten foreign terrorists that were afforded Geneva Conventions protection here:

The only way I would be for an attack on Syria is if the Intelligence was 100 percent true.
Right now I have heard conflicting reports that one of the Anti-Assad forces launched the gas attack which is plauseable.
I trust nothing coming out of that area..They will kill innocents at the drop of a dime.As long as they get the result they want.

The Trump tweets you posted made sense. They cautioned against reckless behavior. But now Trump is now president. And every president hears this siren song: “To be a great president, you must be a war president.”

If Trump wants to be a “War President”, he can start by invading Mexico and cleaning up that shithole.
