Expert shoots down false flag theories on chemical attack
Arutz Sheva ^ | 12/4/18 | Guy Cohen

Five days after the apparent chemical attack on the town of Douma in the Ghouta region near Damascus, Middle East expert Dr. Mordechai Kedar is still trying to figure out what could have caused Syrian dictator Bashar Assad to order such an attack, just when he was about to defeat the rebel resistance in Douma without the use of gas.

He is certain of one thing, however: The "false flag" theories being offered by various right wing media figures have no possible basis in reality.

.....

"But to take chemical weapons and kill hundreds of children from your own side, is way beyond even the satanic practices of the Middle east".

Iranian experiment?

We asked Dr. Kedar what, then, could have motivated Syria to carry a move that caused Trump to reverse the declaration he had made the previous week, about his intention to pull US forces out of Syria.

"That is the precise question that has been troubling me," said Kedar. "The question immediately presented itself: Why do this if Ghouta was about to fall into Assad's hands anyway?"

Kedar has a surprising theory: "I think that we are probably dealing with a new kind of gas, or some new development of chemical weaponry that was carried out in Iran, and the Iranians simply wanted to test it on humans, and they brought it over and gave it to Assad to use. They did it now, because they figured that in two weeks' time there will no longer be a reason to do it, because Ghouta will have been captured – and for that reason, Assad was probably coerced into doing this by the Iranians."

The expert immediately clarified that he is not basing his theory on information from sources.... .....

"But to take chemical weapons and kill hundreds of children from your own side, is way beyond even the satanic practices of the Middle east".

How does he know that:

1) The children were killed? As opposed to playing dead for the cameras?

2) There were "hundreds"?

3) That any who were dead were from their "own side", as opposed to captured family members of the opposition. ISIS showed no hesitation in killing women and children.

If anything, they wanted to test how effective the gas was in eliminating a large segment of the population without the damage done by bombs. Besides, chemical warheads on missiles would be an effective attack on Israeli cities.

It has long been US doctrine that ANY chemical attack on US forces, let alone mass-casualty chemical attack on US cities, would be responded to with nuclear weapons against the attacker.

I suspect Israel's doctrine is the same. I suspect Iran knows this.

Reminds me of a song.

Oh, the Sunnis hate the Shias
And the Shias hate the Sunnis
They and the Suffis practice Sharia
And everyone hates the Jooos!
But on Islamic Solidarity week
Islamic Solidarity week
Everybody whips out daggers
Yes on Islamic Solidarity week
Islamic Soidarity week
Wahhabists slay all the Alawites
Because of what they preach
Yes on Islamic Solidarity week
Islamic Solidarity week
The Baathists gas up Kurdistan
And...then...attack...the...Druze!

During the Iran/Iraq war, Iran sent thousands of child soldiers ahead of their regular troops to clear minefields, by triggering them with their own bodies.

That particular faction of rebels might have been on the outs with the faction that dominated in that village. There are so many family, clan, tribal, ethnic and ideological permutations, this guy is a prize ass just for venturing such a definitive opinion. He doesn’t know. Nobody really does.

If a chemical bomb had been dropped from a jet, from ANY altitude, would the bed it had landed on still be standing?

We have no interests in Syria. If they are looking to stabilize the area, let Russia do it. They are Syria’s allies.

I agree. So much of what happened, in Crimea and Syria, is about depriving Russia of warm water posts. Why should we be involved if countries and regions choose to align themselves with Russia?

Giant problem with the Middle East expert Dr. Mordechai Keda’s opinion. It is all theoretical reasoning, speculating about motives but he makes no opinion on hard chemical attack evidence, pro or con. Not a substantial argument.

Yeah. People are soooooooo different today than they were a century ago, let alone in Biblical times, heck, now we can’t even fathom why people acted the way they did in a Shakespeare play!

This is the Times. Pacifism Central.

Yes They have always and vigorously opposed any war against Fascism, Nazism, Socialism and Communism.

It gladdens my heart to know you've found a kindred spirit in the major media.

And they don’t want a war. This is the Times. Pacifism Central. Unless it’s the Left’s war on America.

Good grief...the NYT was in the front row banging the war drums in 2002-2003.

Does the name Judith Miller sound familiar?
