Assad is a moderate by muslim standards. I know it’s hard to believe right now, but if you look at the Jewish/Christian population during the history of his regime, that is why radicals gained a foothold in opposing him.

That last question is an excellent one. A cylinder falls on a bed, dropped by a helicopter. Must be one sturdy bed. Worth investigating. Did the roof break the cylinder’s fall?
I guess the bigger question is who benefits if we become re-engaged in the mid-east a no win area for sure.
