I’d like to know who came up with using the grammatical term “gender” to denote someone’s sex. Having traveled a lot, I don’t know of any other English speaking country that does this.
On TGs, like abortions, there is an industry that profits from it (I’ve seen it suck money from my own extended family) and a political force behind it (USSC already stamped their approval on gay marriage, and these activists need to stay working and collecting donations), therefore this fashionable trend isn’t going away any time soon.
