Two predictions.

One, Los Angeles will have the dirtiest nastiest looking streets in the country. Imagine what white streets will look like after being driven on by millions of cars with dirty black tires, and half of the engines leaking oil.

Two. More motorcycle accidents. Asphalt absorbs oil. Coated sshphalt, not so much. As the center of each white coated lane becomes oilier, they will eventually become untollerably slippery. Motorcycle riders will be going down from making a simple lane change with a bit too much throttle.

Unintended consequences are a bitch.

Yikes! As a young man, I hated riding my motorcycle in the rain mostly because of slick streets. My wife made me give up riding. Made sense, after I accidentally spilled her off my bike on a mountain trail and she got bruised. LA is in for an increase of lawsuits!
