A top government ethics official wants the Environmental Protection Agency to address any violations linked to Administrator Scott Pruitt’s spending habits, his condo lease from a lobbyist and his personnel decisions.
In a letter dated Friday and released Monday, David J. Apol, the acting director of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, took the atypical step of telling EPA officials that several recent ethics questions deserve further scrutiny. “Public trust demands that all employees act in the public interest, and free from any actual or perceived conflicts,” he wrote to Kevin Minoli, the EPA’s principal deputy general counsel and the agency’s top ethics official.
Specifically, Apol mentioned the controversy surrounding Pruitt’s $50-a-night condo rental last year from a Washington lobbyist, noting that the EPA chief had not sought an ethics opinion on the arrangement in advance.

One can counter any and all accusations directed at the Trump group with the reply: “Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and virtually EVERY dimbulbcrat congresscritter.”

Another holdover creature from Obongo. Sheesh when will Trump learn. It’s a big country draw from outside DC. This punk is going to try to take out the best Cabinet head Trump has.
Tell them he’ll get to it in 3 years, like the FBI turning over the Strzok/Page emails.
Rather, send him a letter advising that EPA has investigated the matter, found no ethics violations and that the matter is closed. Then, in a couple of months when the Senate under Senate Leader Do Nothing has not considered his appointment, the White House should withdraw his nomination.
Who looked into Obama’s use of travel expenses when he took 5000 with him on his first visit to the UK ? And all those successive visits to foreign countries as well as to places here ? Which were nothing but rewards for campaign contributers.
