One-party state controlled by well-meaning Democrats
There is little doubt that many socialists mean well, the catch is when everything is cut and dried more often than not it ends in dismal failure. Common sense and the ability to discern what may work and what doesn’t is not one of liberals strong sides. Along here comes an old adage to mind “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”
High School students imagine socialism is John Lennon's Imagine, just everyone sharing the world in happiness. Real activist socialists feel that they know better and the only way to usher in the utopia is to crush all dissent under their jackboot while they line their own pockets. It's always been thus, it always will be.
I tend to disagree. I think most of the leaders of the Socialist movements know exactly what is going to happen, they think they can ride and tame the tiger for their own good.
The followers want their bills and needs taken care of, they want somebody to take care of them and pay their bills. Pure selfishness. They do not want to have to do anything to get what their parents worked hard for. And they are willing to jail and punish those who get in the way of their free goodies.
