Few Republicans in Washington are willing to go head-to-head with President Trump, but there is one band of GOP members willing to stand up to the leader of their own party: lawmakers who have announced their retirements.
While its not uncommon for members to feel far more liberated on their way out the door, it has taken on a whole new meaning in the Trump era, where lawmakers are confronted daily by a never-ending stream of White House controversies.
The GOPs retirement caucus has provided some of the most biting commentary on the president in recent months, with Rep. Ryan Costello (Pa.) the latest Republican to jump ship from Congress even saying that his frustrations with the Trump administration helped drive him to the exit.
"I always thought I was freewheeling, but I think I've become a little bit more freewheeling," Costello told The Hill, discussing how his attitude has already shifted in the nearly two weeks since he announced his retirement. "It's a little bit less stressful."

Wimps, at least, I can respect. They don’t try to bullsh*t you into thinking they’re anything BUT wimps.
These f*cktard blowhards strut around, asking for our votes, and we send them there to move OUR agenda forward, and they either turn on us, or pee down their legs when the dems glare at them and whine “rayyyycist”.
They have no honor, no character, and no balls. And that makes them less than wimps.
It makes them ball-less p*ssies and much, much less than Men.
I think the Hill is one of the most insidious, sneaky, manipulating publications.
They give us John Solomon and then proceed to give is twenty five or so left wing nutcases, all the while acting as though they are FAIR.
They are to be watched, because they fit Cicero’s description of the enemy within.
I, for one, do not give credence to anything the Hill publishes, except John Solomon.
Bush League Republicans hell bent of making America into North Mexico.
LOOSERS!
They did not support Trump and because of that they can not be reelected so they retired. Now they blame Trump for that. Waiting in line to be elected are pro Trump Republicans who will take their place in congress.
Basically they are sore juvenile losers who are bitching about the situation that is their own damn fault.
Some of the swamp is self-draining...
Spot on!!
Thats what I keep wondering.
Either POTUS has something on them, and theyre jumping off before theyre exposed....or, they are planning sinister things.
I pray its the former.
