President Trump reportedly asked the CIA why it waited until a terror targets family left the building before launching a drone missile strike against him.
Why did you wait? the president asked, according to the Washington Post, after being shown a video of an earlier strike in Syria by the ISIS-fighting spooks.
The CIAs head of drone operations told the commander-in-chief that the agencys goal was to minimize civilian casualties, an explanation that left Trump unimpressed, the paper reported.
On the campaign trail, then-candidate Trump once said that the US should kill not just terrorists, but their wives, children and other relatives as well.
When you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives, dont kid yourself. But they say they dont care about their lives. You have to take out their families, Trump said in 2015.

Would maybe give terrorists thought if the knew their actions would result in termination of their loved ones too.
Probably fake news. But if not - fine by me.
“And, he was right.”
I guess, and there are all sorts of utilitarian arguments to be made.
I would point out, though, that the Vietnamese communists made war on women and children, and used torture and terror, but we still defeated them.
Obama droned a US citizen in Yemen
Well alrighty then
But went back a couple weeks later and droned his kid, too
Presidential precedent
The irony: as long as the terrorists know we wont attack when their families are around as human shields, the more they will keep their families around. If we make it clear we dont care, theyll stop. Net result would be LESS dead families.
Yehova ordered the annihilation of entire nations.

The posting of that comment if disclosed could get you denied a security clearance these days! (even though it is 100% factual, it would be considered resistance)
Next time don’t marry a terrorist.
Straight up leak from Brennan.
Yes!!!

If a target can be eliminated without causing collateral damage then I think said target should be eliminated without causing collateral damage. I do not support targeting individuals who are not on the CIA's "hit-list" nor do I support taking a "kill them all let God sort them out" approach (although I retain my right to joke about it).
With that said, if a target cannot be gotten to without taking out some of his family/friends/neighbors then we need to do what we need to do - opportunities to kill dangerous terrorists should not be wasted.
Finally, I want to note that in the above scenarios I am referring to drone strikes, not actual combat. Our Soldiers and Marines need to be able to operate without being second-guessed at every turn when they are actually on the ground fighting the enemy face-to-face.
Yeah, where is the ‘we must not separate families” crowd?
During the last Drone strike on Osama Bin Labin, Before 9/11, Clinton failed to OK the hit because Osama’s Family was in the building. If he had OKed the strike 3,000 American’s with Children, would be alive today.
The left is manipulating the narrative in hopes of trials at The Hague down the road.
Normally Id be appalled. If we were talking about the uniformed soldiers of another country who obeyed the terms of the Geneva Convention, Id be dead set against it. But thats not who were dealing with. We are dealing with an enemy that not only does not hesitate to deliberately target civilians but which goes out of its way to do so.
Yknow it might be a bit less attractive to be a goat effer if you knew your entire family would pay the price for it when we tracked you down.
Kill em all.
Thank goodness only Enemy Soldiers were killed. /s
Yes, and there are no doubt a few old bomber pilots still living who put the flames to Dresden and elsewhere.
We really ought to round up those murderers, like Nazi fugitives, before it's too late, and punish them for changing our culture.
Right, Mrs. Don-o?
