My AR-15 is made for the higher pressures of the 5.56, but it takes the .223 round.

Well MY AR-15 takes .223 or 5.56, 7.62x39, 6.8 SPC, 300 Blackout, 9mm, and one or two others that I am probably forgetting. So there. ;)
