With so many at the top seemingly more concerned with illegals and refugees it doesn’t take much imagination to see how middle class white male children growing up now will have a very difficult time getting ahead. I truly fear for my sons’ future as they are quickly becoming the main villain in many peoples’ minds.

The great civil rights icon Barbara Jordan produced a report on immigration more than two decades ago, calling on the government to end chain migration and put a dead stop to illegal immigration, for the benefit of all Americans.

She added: “Deportation is crucial.”
Far-left Democrats used to openly proclaim ideas that would get them banned from Twitter today:

Very recently, a presidential candidate who seemed to actually care about America’s working class denounced illegal immigration as “a Koch brothers” idea. That was Bernie Sanders.

It would make everybody in America poorer — you’re doing away with the concept of a nation-state. ... You have an obligation in my view to do everything we can to help poor people.

I went to public US schools in the forties and fifties and don’t remember ever been taught Judeo/Christian culture.

The crux of her column, as I read it, is Americans of the upper class used to be more concerned about struggling fellow Americans of all classes. Today, she opines, the upper class has shown little regard for how rampant illegal immigration has hurt middle and lower class Americans. All they care about is keeping the illegals and lower classes away from their own neighborhoods (except as cheap labor) and children’s schools. So the self-righteous liberals who claim compassion and benevolence are hypocrites.

In public school? This was in Texas, in Southern Baptist territory, and there was no religion taught in school. As far as the J/C culture, there was an elective in world history, but it was just that. History. What sort of classes did you have?

Wow. I was in the NY school system (western NY state) in the ‘50s and ‘60s. We weren’t taught “religion” as that specific topic. But religion was a fabric of school life. I still have a couple of the paperback song books we used in Music class, and half of the pages are hymns — which we sang.
I never said they taught religion classes in school.
Judeo/Christian culture was the behavior expected and obeyed in public school.
