I went to public US schools in the forties and fifties and don’t remember ever been taught Judeo/Christian culture.
What? Were you taught Islam?
Wow. I was in the NY school system (western NY state) in the ‘50s and ‘60s. We weren’t taught “religion” as that specific topic. But religion was a fabric of school life. I still have a couple of the paperback song books we used in Music class, and half of the pages are hymns — which we sang.
Apparently if they used the words “mother” and “father”, they were instilling Judeo-Christian culture in you.
