WASHINGTON Former Democratic National Committee Interim Chairwoman Donna Brazile urged African-Americans to stop giving up their votes to Democrats without demanding an agenda from the party that matches their needs, describing their political power as enormous.
Brazile said she had to stand up to her own party and say hell no after its leaders told her to shut up.
We have to stop giving up our votes. I have done just about everything in the Democratic Party but run for office everything that they have asked me to do. I have done it. I have registered millions of people in my lifetime. I have knocked on so many doors that I cannot even see the black of my own knuckles. I have carried their water, Brazile said during her keynote address at the Stateswomen for Justice Luncheon last week, which was organized by Trice Edney Communications.
I have put their platform within my heart to support. I have championed their issues. And when it came time for me to say what I believed was important, they said shut up, Donna and I said hell no, I am not shutting up, she added.
Brazile was critical of Democrats such as President Obama and former DNC chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) in her book Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in the White House, which was released in November.

So, they just wanted her back on the plantation?
And she said, “Hell, no”?
And she still supports them?
Get back on the plantation.
And like battered wife syndrome, you keep going back for more. Dumbass.
Why are these old Clinton-era fossils being interviewed? They were useless then and are irrelevant now.
She knows what happened to Seth Rich.
SPEAK, DONNA, SPEAK !!
When they can’t be righteously indignant against the Right, they have no choice but to get righteously indignant against the Left. They are incapable of having a month go by without “standing up against THEM”. They have to be constant heroes in their own minds.
Miss Brazile......what is there to say? You were their dirty little whore. They used you every which way and when they got done with you, not so much as a kiss or a tip. Either you’re lying to sell books and raise a stink or you are colossally stupid.
Yeah, but what's your win/loss ratio? Other than flapping your gums on CNN, what have you really achieved?
Please play, “scorched earth”...I’ll get the popcorn.
Tell us all the sorted details of who did what and where the bodies are buried.
She believed the Democrats....We believed the GOP...she is no dumber than we are..
We have to primary the RINOS...
Trump has exposed the corrupt RICO racket in DC..
Trump needs to start using executive orders like OBAMA and say to congress if you do not like it you fix it and I will sign it..
She’ll be quiet when her bank account swells.
Trump should sit down with the whole bunch of rinos and inform them he will recruit candidates to run against them, help their opponents raise money and campaign for and with their opponents.
I'd go with just another lying whore paid for her services. How many times over the years has she lied, cheated and prevaricated for the Clintons, and never had a problem doing it. She's nothing but a slug, leaving a trail of slime wherever she goes.
She is so brave...
Hacked is a very interesting book so far. The evidence that Wasserman-Schultz did, in fact, have an enormous staff and luxury travel perks seems incontrovertible. That the DNC was deeply in debt is also independently established; whether it was 0bama co-opting it for his "legacy" to the degree that Brazile claims is more difficult to establish but the money certainly went somewhere and it'd be so very much in character.
Brazile says that the DNC was millions in the red with the primaries and the convention fast approaching and that Hillary bought in to save them from defaulting. The price was the control of the superdelegates, which in the Democrat system compose some 15% of the total and are not beholden to the state caucuses or votes, but the the DNC itself. That meant that Bernie had an instant 15% disadvantage nationwide, which may not sound like much, but 15% is a landslide in American politics. So the Bernie backers' claim that the fix was in and that Hillary had purchased the nomination was absolutely true.
As I said, for some of this there is considerable evidence and for some, we have to take Brazile's word. Brazile chooses to couch this in racial terms for this particular audience but that isn't really the problem at all. From the Democrats' viewpoint, the problem is that their working-class base deserted them in '16 and the possibility that their minority-interest base will as well may make them unelectable. What they need to address isn't minority pandering, it's party dissolution and corruption, and when your choices for the lead in that project are Ellison and Perez, you've got problems. The fat cat donors and their PACs and NGOs will be driving. Again.
